Good Professor. He seems to get off topic but if you pay attention most of his supposed tangents are actually material on the test. Didn't open the books and got upper B's for both classes. 3 tests only. He grades on a curve.

I abs loved his class. The man knows so much about history. I NEVER opened my book and made a B both times. He does get behind, but that is because he wants to REALLY cover the material. I think the poor reviews are because people are upset the class isn't a blow off class. If you are in lala land in class you had better read the book. I give him A

I had to drop this class because I got a low grade on my first test. He gives only 2 tests & final, so if you get a bad grade on the 1st test, most likely you will not pass this class. NO extra credit! He was not helpfull to me. Plus, we were so behind.

He gets off topic a lot, most of the stuff from exams come out of the book, exams are fairly easy especially since he'll put in some ridiculous answers,do NOT text or sleep he WILL kick you out and possibly drop you. At least seem like you're paying attention and his exams have a curve if you follow the directions.

He kept getting off of the topic!!!!! every single day!!! if i have to hear about him and his life in San Angleo and how when he read some famous person's speech the class gave him a standing ovation, Im going to scream!!!

This was the worst college class I have ever taken. I learned NOTHING. This class is likely hard for most people, but you only have three tests. If you read well and fast you shouldn't have any problems getting a good grade. You will, however, have to put up with the most unprofessional and awful professor you will ever take in your college career.

HORRIBLE!!! Your grade is based off of 3 exams. He always gets off topic, and doesn't give you a study guide or review at all!! He pretty much wants you to memorize the book, the in class notes don't help too much.

Get ready to do your own notes and reading by yourself! Throw your syllabus away too cause we were so far off I didn't know where he was getting his lectures from. Only took 3 test which makes it hard to get the grade you want. Would not take him.

Great human being. Great professor. He is full of knowledge, but he shouldn't be teaching. His tests are awful, only 3. Always behind, final test he gave us a review that we had to look it up and only 3 things out of 150+ came on the final. It was a disaster, do not take this class if you have other choices.

i just got out of his class. I do not recommend him at all!!! run as fast as you can! He was behind the entire time. I took him for 5 weeks in the summer. The first test was 1 week behind the second test was one week behind, and we only had 2 days to study between the second and third tests. Oh by the way, the 3rd test (final) was over 260 terms!!

He is a great man but a horrible teacher. We have been behind his whole class. Then forgets to teach us stuff right before the test and starts lecturing. He's more concerned with his past a Texan then teaching the actual class.

The people who give this Professor a low rating are the people who do not study expect easy A's from college and do not know what getting an education is about. This Professor gives you more than just a history lecture but a life lecture his lectures are meant to supplement the reading. Its easy as long as you read and are engaged in class.

Comment:

Dr. Williams is a good professor. However, only take this class if you are able to read the book, and retain what you read. His tests are built off of his lectures and the reading material. It is esssential to read and take good notes. Other than this he manages to keep the class interested as well as involved in his lectures.
