He is the worst teacher I have ever had! You can't understand him, and he is so old he can't remember how to explain things. Don't take his class!

Watch out, Bro. Bain is obviously intelligent, but teaching clearly is not his thing. I had to use MIT online videos to learn the material. Seriously, he went the entire semester on electricity and magnetism without a single experiment. He turned it into an annoying math class. Also, he gets defensive easily when answering students questions.

Definitely not my favorite professor in the dept but he is fair. HW is challenging. Test#1 was take home but due to cheating all others were in the testing center w/ a sheet of notes. If you are a CompE or EE major this class will be a piece of cake. Only about 20% of the material was new for me. Final is easy if you know polar & TI-89. I got an A

If you are looking for an easy A, Then you better look again at the class THIS IS PHYSICS!!! Brother Bain is a great guy and will help you learn the material. He expects you to prepare for class by reading the chapter and doing the homework. If you ask him a question he will make you think about it before just giving you the answer. Overall B

I kinda hate Bain, but kinda like the guy. You'll get a paper and have no idea why you were docked 20 points. But he's a good guy, the final sucks, but you can't help to just laugh at the guy. Has had an interesting life, talk to him about the AirForce, and his taste of movies.

This lab was a terrible experience. Grades hard, unfair, never directly answers questions, and the setting sucks. The work load isn't terrible, but it's almost impossible to get an A. With exception of like three physics students the entire class was in the C or C- range. I would literally consider taking my life before I would take this lab

A harder professor. Definitely have to work for the A, but you'll learn a lot along the way. He expects you to want to learn. If not interested in actually learning, he isn't he guy for you then. Get someone else for the easy A. Leave your cell phones alone, especially freshman, and you'll do alright. He's very considerate of student's work load.

Rodney Bain is a great professor. He is hard to hear so you want to sit kind of close to the front of the room. Pay close attention to what he tells you and take good notes. It may seem like a hard class, but it isn't impossible. I got an A / A- in the class, and if you need help, just stay after and ask him. I would recommend him!

He is almost to brilliant to be teaching here. He knows his stuff very well and seems to expect it to be as easy for us. He is willing to help you extra as long as you take the time to go ask. He tries to be funny but usually i couldnt hear him. Not an easy class but i got an A so its not impossible! You will definitely learn alot!

First of all, I had no idea what he wanted as his expectations seemed to change with every assignment and he would never explain anything. Secondly, it was never clear as to when assignments were due. Most importantly, BOOOORING!!! I slept through more classes than I was awake.

This guy has got to be the lamest man alive! His lab is long, boring and he won't speak loud enough to hear, so you have to sit close to him. He favors the girls and doesn't won't to help the guys that much. He hammers sig figs into your brain and it seems like that is all he cares about! Don't waste your time take another physics class!

Super hard, but really good. He love twinkies, so get some for the first day of class! If you're looking for an easy A, this isn't the teacher... If your up for learning more than you ever wanted, this is the place. If you're a cheater, your solution manual won't work here. Overall.. A-

He won't give examples, even when asked. He won't help you on problems especially if you ask him. He's probably the worst physics teacher i've ever had. One redeeming quaility--take home tests. but no one ever does good on them since he grades them so hard.

Bro. Bain isn't a very good teacher. He's a brilliant man, but some people just shouldn't be teachers. He doesn't explain things well, and he doesn't make good use of class time-- there is a lot of time wasted. He also won't help you if you ask questions. The guy is to smart to be teaching such a low level class. Take Croausmen if you can.
