Amazing teacher! Class is never dull or boring. she may insult you at times, but it's only because she likes her students to get riled up and passionate. tests are hard if you don't do the reading and shes not lenient about attendance

Amazing Professor that's constantly playing "devils advocate" She's loves interatcting with the class and having everyone be involved. She always gives us back points on tests (sometimes 10) and makes the course interesting. I'd take any class with her again

Did an internship out of state with her.. She was very helpful and supporting throughout the whole thing. It was great to know that when I was stressed out, she was there to talk to and keep me level headed. This internship landed me a job after graduation and was a great experience, she made it happen!

The course itself is extremely helpful for applying to grad school as we create resumes, cover letters, thank you letters, research possible grad schools and future careers. She also writes kickass letters of recommendation and is incredibly personable so get to know her!

Mrs. Serbay helped me realize what I am doing with my life. before this class I had no idea what I was doing, but I came out of it with my career, a complete resume, and confidence that I am getting into grad school. It is such a great feeling having a teacher take time out of their day to help you no matter what you need help with. GREAT TEACHER

Mrs. Serbay is by far the greatest professor in oneonta. She takes time with each of her students to make sure they get an internship in an area suited for them and fights for them to make sure they get the most out of it. Every person I have talked to has said the same and is absolutely thrilled with their internships.

I loved this class, Very lenient with exams. Has you do an interview at a retirement home in oneonta. In addition, she has discussion based classroom settings which are easy to get a good grade off of. If you are stuck at taking a 300 levels--take this one!

Serbay is one of the best and most personalable teachers that I have ever had. I love that her classes are mostly open discussion. She's been able to relate issues of aging to people much younger. After taking this class I feel like age doesn't stop you from accomplishing life goals. Those rude comments were plain uncessary and are lies.

AMAZING professor. She has always been there for me when I needed to be helped. She actually cares about her classes and her students. I highly recommend this professor. The tests are hard, but if you actually pay attention and study you will be fine. She doesn't want to fail anyone, she just wants us to walk away with knowledge.

I had her as my internship in psychology coordinator and I couldn't have been happier. She held a few meetings to keep updated with students and was so helpful. She was willing to do whatever it took to make sure I was learning and treated fairly at my site. I have since graduated and got my present job through this internship! She's the best!!

Great class with the best professor! I learned so much and actually enjoyed coming to class. Discussions are interesting and rewarding if you actually put in effort and intelligent input. She is fair and respects her students 100 percent UNLESS you give her a reason not to.

Serbay, teaching is not reading an outline directly off a piece of paper for 25 minutes followed by useless discussion to kill time. You are not as sharp nor intelligent as you think you are. Drop the attitude and respect yor students. You once had my respect but lost it completely after your constant condecending speeches that we sit through.

Professor Serbay is the best! I recommend this class to everyone I know. She challenges students to think and wants everyone to learn and have fun as well. Even if she disagrees with your opinions, she will respect them IF they are intelligent and well researched. If you are respectful and cooperative she is flexable and great to work with! :)
