Comment:

She is a great proff, who really cares about her students. She is hard, but fair when it comes to marking and really pays attention and tries to help you improve. If you put the effort in, she will reward you. Her classes are not the easiest by any means, but consequently they are highly rewarding.

Shelley truly cares for her students, their success, and correct apostrophe usage. She loves what she does, and encourages her students to Beverly concise writers, and curious readers. I loved her (and her dessert squares) very much and am disappointed that U of S is letting her go, very very big loss.

Professor LePoudre was my favourite Prof this semester! Her lectures are interesting, often entertaining, and stimulating. She is a hard but fair essay marker and if you are willing to put in the effort to improve your writing she rewards you for your extra work.

Shelley really will help you improve your grammar & style if you want to. She is very sweet and cares a lot about her students. The literature we read was rather prosaic but overall this course was really beneficial. Oh, and her brownies are AWESOME!

Fantastic prof. Very passionate about literature and grammar. Tough but fair essay marker - she tells you exactly, exactly how you got your mark an how to improve. Hilarious, very sweet and warm, and very cool. She's refreshingly honest and blunt.

Shelley is a wonderful prof who truly cares about her students. She is not an overly easy marker, but will take the time to make sure you understand everything. I received an 86 in her class and would love to take another from her. Such a sweatheart.

She has unrealistic expectations for first year essay writing. Her lectures were rather boring and pointless as well. She mainly spent the majority of the class dissecting every sentence that was wrong in the book, instead of helping us with our essays and doing something constructive that applies to us. Will never take a class with her again.

She really loves what she teaches and it translates to the students. Attendance is always very high in her classes and makes impossible topics seem vaguely comprehensible (ie. Alexander Pope's The****of the Lock) I highly reccomend her. She now goes by the last name LePoudre however.

This is my 2nd class with her. She is really caring and truly cares about you and if you get it. She does not play favorites though and is a grammar Nazi!!!!!! Hard marker so go to class prepared. If you can go into her class DO IT!

She is a wonderful teacher. She really cares about what the student is learning and what she is teaching. She cares about what she teaches completely which gets the student into whatever she is teaching. Negative thing: she is a GRAMMAR FREAK!!!! She even reads grammar books for fun! Positive: SHE BAKES FOR THE CLASS!! (once and awhile anyhow)
