Great professor, I had the honor of taking for Professor Obarski for 2 classes. 4. I received an A in both classes because I showed up on time, never missed a museum field trip, turned in all my museum reports, and studied for the mid-term and final. Do this and you will receive an A in the class.

You don't need to buy books. Participation matters. Exams include an essay question that has another essay question inside one. Easy class if you already taken an art class before, but for newcomers think twice before you take her class. People who love art history, highly advise you to take her class. She is very passionate about art.

Very boring and dry lectures. I wouldn't assume a lot of people are into art history but I can't say I am. She's very clear about assignments and museum reports (oh, by the way, she requires you to go to at least 2 specific museums with or without the class and write a report.) Tests are pretty tough so take lots of notes and skim through the book.

too many field trips, have to do a presentation, museum reports must do and it's too detailed to the point where you don't know what to say... she doesn't give you an open minded topic on the museum reports.. a lot of lectures, dark most of the time.. but nice teacher overall.....

I thought she was really cool, easy to talk to, easy grader on essays. Just participate in class and she'll notice. Not even a slide test! Just had to do two museum reports, an in-class essay for the midterm, and a five page essay for the final.

GRADES HARD, a bit **** towards minorities. Anal about everything and not helpful. be prepared to write alot for this class and work hard if you want an A or B. Cannot be absent or you will not recieve above a C.

Grades Hard on Essays, Easy to Pass, but HARD to get an A, one of those impossible teachers who makes the course boring. Take it if you enjoy writing and really love art. Make sure you attend class because she WILL not give you an A or B. I worked harder for my grade than I did in Bio or Calc.
