Comment:

Prof Keller is one of the best professors ive had at Rio. Lecture exams are fairly easy, must know info very well in order to get a good grade. Lab exams are more difficult as the have very broad instructions. Most labs are done in groups and theres a quiz almost everyday. I would definitely take a class with Keller again.

Comment:

Prof. Keller is one of the best Bio profs I've had. As someone said, "Keller doesn't throw curve balls at you." If you study the material he gives you then you'll do good. With that said, this is Bio 201 so prepare to study. There is a lot of information, but Prof Keller will be there to help you if you ask for it. Would definitely recommend him!

Mr. Keller is a great teacher. He is very clear and his lectures have study guides in the end which are also the answers for the daily quizzes. I agree with some comments, he can be a little bit mean if you're not a robo student but set your ego aside for a couple of hours. You're hear to learn and that's what will happen if you pay attention.

Very clear and sticks to the lesson plan. You will learn from this guys. Work is very specific and he expects organization. Great teacher if you like the subject you'll like the class. Study his lecture notes and you'll be fine, for 201 you do need some visuals cause you'll be drawing a lot. Enjoy!

Great teacher, very specific READ ALL DIRECTIONS TWICE. Not much homework at all. My secret to studying in his class. read and understand the pictures and descriptions he puts out in the lecture guides he gives you. Amazingly an easy way to study and he asks you to draw diagrams on tests so it'll be easy to visualize

If you want to be in a strict class with middle school rules, Keller is perfect for you. To me, he is Mr. Obvious questions he asks about the lesson plan. Honestly, Keller is a smart Bio teacher that knows his stuff. But I think he went through hell in school in the past and probably was a nerd that was picked on 24/7. He's not the nicest person.

Straightforward. A lot of work to do in this class. Like another reviewer said, he seems to favor robo-students. Difficult to ask a question & get a straight answer from. Thorough though. 2 semesters later & I could prob still take a test & ace it due to his methods of beating (& sometimes boring) stuff into you. He's cool tho.

Great teacher very organized and gives lecture notes. The class is very long and can be hard to hang in early in the morning but his lectures keep you interested. Just keep up with readings and lecture guides and you will do just fine in the class.GREAT TEACHER AND CARES ABOUT THE CLASS AND STUDENTS. Can be annoyoing at times and anal. but good!!

five hours lec AND lab, two days/week. lecturing method - tunnel vision. speech -monotone. class setting - easy to fall fast asleep. tests are straight foward from powerpoint/book/lecture. total memorization. labs are long, sometimes group effort. try real hard to make class fun and you can do it. try real hard.

I can see how Mr. Keller has the ability to be a good teacher and a nice guy, but when it comes to students who have personality and aren't quiet robots-he gets pretty annoyed. Don't ever expect him to answer any questions clearly because he likes to beat around the bush. If you get frustrated easily, I would recommend another teacher!

Super good class. I was very pleased with his lecture. He made this class very intesting. All I can say is that the class wasn't that hard, and the teacher made it very easy to learn. He is a great teacher! You will enjoy it too!

He is very clear on the subject, and helpful. He can explain very well. He got you interest in biology. His tests are not very hard but you need to study. Lots of extra credits. Overall,He's an excellent professor. Highly recommened.
