Comment:

He seems like a nice person but I find him a little arrogant. The class is pretty boring because he talks most of the time. Every chapter has a GIANT PowerPoint so beware. Only two exams, a midterm and a final. Written projects in between but they aren't that bad. He's honestly pretty nice and very passionate about the subject.

Flynn is a very harsh grader and his tests are horrible. He gives study guides of tons of terms, requires you know everything, and then puts very little that he outlined in class on the exams. He never gives very good feedback on assignments, making it seem like you just suck rather than didn't understand. Unclear instructions on assignments.

The course material is pretty dry, but Dr. Flynn is excellent at explaining it. I took this class online, and was surprised so many classmates were struggling. He gave very clear, explicit instructions and even prepared a study guide! I don't know how much simpler people need things? Very friendly and prompt at answering questions.

Yes, his class is hard, but not impossible. He's a fantastic professor! The subject matter can be very confusing at times, but he always clarifies and helps if you get lost. His feedback on your case studies are very helpful. Write down everything he says because it really helps the case studies make sense, and half of the exams are based on those.

Dr. Flynns tough - I had him for Comm Law and I absolutely loved it but its not a class you can just show up for and expect an A. He'll make you work for your grade but he clearly states what you need to do to get that A. Read, do the assigned homework and participate. I ended up completely changing my career path bc I loved this course so much.

I have had two classes with Dr. Flynn (Professional Presentation and Comm Law), I walked away from both classes having learned alot. He is easy to talk too, helpful, actually cares if you succeed (in and out of the classroom). Good guy. Great professor!!

He refuses to answer questions when asked days before the tests. doesnt inform you when anything is due. Extremely rude during class. If you are late even by 1 min dont bother coming you wont get attendence points. extremely difficult reading prior to the tests is useless because he gives a study guide which the book doesnt even have half the info

never read the book. power points are right out of book and he reads right off the power points. half the time he doesnt know what he's talking about or just talks about him. doesnt teach. Acts very dominate dont text or even try to whisper or he'll be some angry tough man to you the rest of the semester. def dont take. just makes you angry

Had him for Comm. Law. Teaches off of PowerPoint, is absent from classes frequently. Relies on BlackBoard (garbage!) to communicate with students. Leaves illegible, incoherent comments on papers that don't help. Terribly disorganized, too caught up with his own life. Never mentioned the book once. Thanks for wasting my money, Flynn!

Dr. Flynn is not an easy professor in any way and he can be intimidating....but make sure you show up to class and ask questions!!.. He grades your participation in commlaw which i didn't know until the end of the semester! (could have had an A) You will work hard but it is satisfying in the end if you come out Ok, which most people do.

Overall Dr. Flynn is a nice guy but that doesn't mean he's a great prof. I'm sure taking a different class of his would be better, because no one really wants to take public speaking. His grading is a little harsh, and he is a bit arrogant. You just kind of have to ignore him and just get the best grade you can.

this man is extremely arrogant and condenscending. his midterm and final are hard to study for. he gives a study guide but it is so useless! the little analysis papers were what gave me the a in the class. follow his directions to the letter. asking him why you missed/ need to improve on something is useless b/c he will not give a straight answer.
