he makes physics enjoyable. the online homework is very similar to the exams, so get on that. recitation and lab are grade boosters too, but it also depends on your group members and TA. overall take it with him, hes really great in lecturing and explaining concepts so lecture is kinda mandatory to understand the powerpoint slides

He's a gem. Physics is hard, but Brahmia makes it so much easier to understand. He is one of the best lecturers, always keeping me awake and focused with his enthusiasm. His videos are also great resources to use when it comes to reviewing for exams. If you have to take physics, TAKE HIM!!

He is a god. I wish I had done better on the first exam which would have made me get an A in the class. His online videos are a bit overrated as you may have to supplement them with other tutorials like "The Organic Chem Tutor" to really learn the material, but they are still pretty dam good majority of the time.

For a class that is ridiculously hard at Rutgers (as all science courses are here), Brahmia makes the subject matter enjoyable. While I have an issue with the rigor of the exams (only 15 questions on each exam, very little room for mistakes), Brahmia helps his students in the best way he can! Take him if you need Physics 203-204!

Sometimes I lose faith in professors, but then I think of Brahmia and my faith is restored again. Homework's a bit tough, but it's for your own good. This guy really puts you in the best position possible to do well. That's hard to say for a lot of professors. If you can't do well in his class, at least in 203, it's on you.

DAYUM. This class was hard as hell. Dropped right out after the first exam. God bless that i saved myself from getting an F. Brahmia is a good professor however the online hw is hard. Also, recitation can be bad if you are not prepared. Although I went in prepared most of the days, i still couldn't understand how to do some of the problems

Professor Brahmia taught well, but his office hours were very crowded, and it was hard to ask him all the questions you needed to ask. Also, when you could ask a question, sometimes he made it seem like the answer was easy/obvious. He also was kind of impatient when you wanted to talk to him. I worked really hard in the class and still felt subpar.

He is great! The requirements are very clearly lined out and he answers emails quickly. I am taking 203/204 this summer and he makes the material much easier to handle.

took him during the summer. lectures are detailed and helpful bc he does example problems that are practically on the exams. you have to keep up on the concepts and understand the material to do well on the exams, the homework is difficult but it prepares you for recitation quizzes and the exams. and he has a generous curve at the end

One of the best professors I ever had. He goes through physics concepts very thoroughly and his lectures are very energetic so you won't find yourself dozing off. There is a textbook, but if you attend the lectures and take good notes, you won't need it that much. He also provides review videos for exams which are super helpful

Took the online section, but ended up attending his lectures anyway. He is actually one of the best lecturers I have seen at Rutgers. Always full of energy and excited about the elementary Physics 1 material. He makes everything so clear and walks through problems both conceptually and with equations. He is very loud and keeps the lecture alive.

Amazing professor. I took his class online, never met him once, and still he was one of my favorite professors. In order to do well in his class, keep up with the homework and avoid relying entirely on Chegg. Yes, you can use online help to get through submitting the homework, but make sure you understand the material for the exam

Don't like physics, but learned a lot and actually understood it, for the first time ever. There's some formulas w/complicated derivations that you need for 203/204 but aren't on the formula sheets - I memorized those before exams and it paid off (for example, ballistic pendulum, etc.). I recommend taking online, but also attend lecture if you can.

I took Extended Gen Physics I with Brahmia this semester, and it was a solid choice. You can tell how passionate he is, and he is very energetic during lecture. The only difference that I could tell between extended and normal gen physics is that lectures are 20 minutes longer and lab is incorporated. To do well, go to lecture and redo hw questions

Great lectures, little fast though. answers all questions you have. Great exam review practice videos & tests. I am a bit mad that I didnt take the online section because he said that their test average was very high. I believe this is because he puts up videos of every lecture so you can watch it over and over which wouldve been helpful as well.

He doesn't give any feedback on the homeworks and you're left looking the answers up on Chegg. The online sections learn A LOT more but they have 1 hour to complete 10 questions. He likes doing annoying derivatives just to get to equations. There's A LOT of algebra on the questions. The exams are multiple choice and no curve based on test scores.

Honestly, the homework assignments are nothing like the in class lecture notes. The online sections has more in depth notes to do the hwk. Absolute no feedback on homework. Exam is multiple choice and no curve! TAs are complex and difficult to understand. Take phys with gentile, open ended questions on exam and recitation is an easy 10 points.

He's an OKAY instructor. I took the online 203, and honestly khan academy is better. Nonetheless, he's still a solid instructor and his lecture problems/hw are very indicative of what's going to be on the exam.

Absolutely outstanding professor. I hate physics with a passion, but this man made it so understandable and bearable for me to be able to get by this class and actually learn a lot along the way. His examples really make sure that you perform to the best of your abilities and truly help solidify difficult topics.
