Dr. Johnson is great! She is one of the best Stats professor. She really cares about you learning the material, but you have to put in the work. MyStats lab is pain but you can do the homework as many times so you can get a 100 of all of them. There are a couple of concepts that are harder to understand, but If you need help go to her office hours!

Dr. Johnson is a very caring professor, but you don't want to get on her bad side. If you are respectful towards her, she will respect you. She prints off note outlines for each class and is very easy to follow. We had a quiz every week or so and 4 tests (including a cumulative final). She will smile all of the time, even when she is in a bad mood.

Comment:

Janna Johnson is one of the worst professors I have ever had. She is inaccessible outside of class, she isn't even there during office hours sometimes. Don't even bother emailing. She doesn't teach, she gives an example problem and then nothing else. The tests are nothing like anything she does. Also, super condescending. Hated her so much.

Very unhelpful and hands off, also a bit passive aggressive. The class itself was uncomplicated, but would not recommend her as a professor-if you have another option, take it.

Dr. Johnson is really sweet. If you go to class and at least do some of the homework, you'll do good. She gives a quiz every Friday which can suck but be good at the same time. The quizzes are a pretty good reference to study for the tests. If you need extra help, she is helpful just contact her before you go to her office. Its math so GO TO CLASS!

Dr. Johnson is the least helpful person ever. She does not teach at all and cannot explain. If you don't know what you are doing, the tests are impossible to finish on time, and she is no help outside of class either. I missed the day before an exam, and when I couldn't finish in time, she blamed me for not being in class. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!

The easiest class ever. The quizzes and tests basically come right from the homework. Class is pointless--you just do worksheets every day. She is a nice person, but she wasn't very good at answering questions, and the only "teaching" she did was to read the textbook to us.

She hands out worksheets then leaves. She does not offer any instruction. When you ask a question she tells you to ask your neighbor and doesn't seem to understand or be able to explain her own material. She doesn't lecture, and when she does talk she is very unorganized and confuses herself easily. Do not take if you want to learn anything!

She is an awesome teacher. Really wants you to understand what she is teaching you. TONS of activities for you to grasp the concept. Changed her way of teaching and I LOVE IT. Hated math before this but its awesome.

Dr. Johnson is so friendly. She always has a smile on her face. Her calm voice can sometimes put you to sleep though. She is a good teacher, and would probably have more people with A's in her class if more questions were asked. Do the optional homework and show up for class. Bonus points right there to help you if you are struggling.

If you can teach yourself, then go ahead and take her. If you are not up for doing the job that your professor should be doing, then don't take her. She is a nice lady, smiles all the time...kind of freaky, and frustrating. I will ask serious questions abt my hw and she will just smile...and not give me a straight answer.

If you are pretty good at math and can kinda teach yourself then I would take her, if not DO NOT. I made an A BUT im good math.... alot of people in the class did really bad. She gives alot of homework but doent take it up so its up to you to do or not. Her test are not too hard, she pretty much pulls all questions from the book.

I regret taking Dr. Johnson for pre-calc 100%. The only grades are test grades and she never collects the homework that takes hours to complete. She also does not allow the use of a formula sheet on tests so if you're used to that, good luck. Her teaching is not understandable and she often gives poor examples. TAKE PRINCE.

Taking from Dr Johnson was a mistake. She doesn't relate to the students, can't explain pre-cal at an understandable level. She never finished examples and the only grades are the tests--if you fail one you're done for. She doesn't grade the homework and she rarely takes questions from it. If you take with her get a tutor at the beginning.
