definitely knows his stuff, however teaching method is flawed. To learn Spanish, you have to be able to speak it a lot( we hardly ever did). Don't worry about completing assignments on time, you go over everything in class beforehand. final was awful because he expected us to know all tenses/how to use them and he just taught us how to form them

I've taken him for SPAN 201 and 202, and he is a fantastic teacher. Very laid-back, and is there for you when you need any sort of help. Very smart and inspirational! He breaks the material down so well that it makes so much sense. If you really want to learn the language, he is the perfect teacher to take :)

I was so happy to have taken his class. He's there for you to answer any questions you have. Really easy-going too :) I took Spanish for 4 years in high school, and so this class was pretty easy for me. For others, they struggled a bit but I think that as long as you study his notes well and really apply yourself, you got yourself an easy A. :)

Profesor Salinas es muy simpatico. This class is super fun and a great break in your schedule from other boring classes. He wants all of his students to succeed and learn Spanish. Not a ton of memorization happens in class. Be expected to do that outside of class time.

He made Spanish soo much fun. Although he was always late to class, he is the best and very funny! He is a very thorough professor, the test are literally like the study guides. He's very nice and reasons with you if you are unable to show up to class. Most def would take him again!

Mr. Salinas is wonderful. French came to me really easily with the help of his class. He is funny, laidback, and all-around good-natured. I didn't care for the online homework at all, but that's the only thing I would have changed about this course, given the chance. Adan is really understanding and likes to see his students succeed.

He is an amazing professor who can speak multiple languages fluently, English being his third. I had him for Spanish and French and I enjoyed his classes thoroughly. I would definitely choose to have him as a teacher over and over again, even after having him for two semesters and four total classes. Definitely a highly recommended professor.

Comment:

2nd semester with Salinas- excellent professor. Taking him again for 201! Don't underestimate the difficulty of learning a language- it can be tough. Salinas makes it fun and teaches core material for Spanish. He encourages your interest in foreign language and wants to see you succeed. He is very intelligent and not bad to look at.

Mr. Salinas was by far the best Spanish teacher I've ever had. I enjoyed going to his classes every day and still recommend him to everyone I know. I passed his class with an A+. He's fun to listen to, but more importantly, he hands out a sample of the test (Not 100% the test, but pretttttty close) before the test, then goes over it the next class.

Overall, really good prof.. but be ready for long and boring lectures (I fought to stay awake many times). His tests are stupid EASY and gives identical practice tests the week before. He was very loose on due dates throughout the semester for HW and 95% of the time he goes over assigned HW in class and awards EVERYONE with credit. Otherwise good.

Salinas is awesome! He strives to see his students succeed and goes to great lengths to see that through. He is very preparatory for tests and lenient with homework due dates. You will never seen something on a test that wasn't on the practice test. Be ready to use your book, you won't survive without it! Can't wait to take him again next semester!

He is a great teacher and really makes class fun! I am glad I took this class. Even gives you a site to help with studying so you dot have to spend so much money. If you are looking for a language to transfer or an easy class to take I would consider this one.

Had Profesor Salinas for 4 semesters, and he's the best Spanish teacher at SWIC! I learned so much, and really enjoyed his classes. Excellent teacher, wish they were all like him!
