Comment:

One of the more enjoyable professors I've had. Not the easiest concepts, but she gives you the tools for success. She struggles with technology and goes quite fast, but she'll ask if she needs to slow down. The midterms were short and tough but the course felt manageable after the first one.

Comment:

Adriana is a great prof, she tends to go a bit fast with notes, but usually asks if she is, and is happy to slow down. As long as you go to lecture and pay attention, you should do fine in her courses. The midterms were kinda hard, but she wasnt the course co-ordinator so it's not all on her. Overall she is a good prof, and easy on the eyes as well

The work itself wasn't too hard but Adriana was not helpful at all. Her explanations were terrible and the entire course is based online and all quizzes are timed and way too hard. She's unapproachable if you need help and doesn't care about how well the students do. Dropped the class because she was so terrible

Did not enjoy this class. The material itself wasn't hard, but the way she explained things made it much harder than it had to be. I essentially taught myself with the textbook because found her explanations unclear. In addition, she is unapproachable outside of class time and hardly involved in the course.

Adriana did a good job teaching Algebra. Sure, she sometimes showed attitude, but overall, her notes are so clear and her in class examples are helpful. Btw, this course is a BINARY. Means you'd either get it and do good, or you don't. Don't blame it on her if you suck at this course... I found it to be easy and thought Adriana made it even easier!

Wow. Where to begin. Adriana is a horrible prof. She is awful at explaining things, and her tests are way to hard and unfair. She's extremely lazy, and rejects simple requests from students. A student asked her to post extra practice problems. She responded by saying no, she doesn't have the power to do so, which is a complete lie. AVOID her an run

If had a choice between taking another one of Adriannas classes or being saturated with brown gravy and locked in a room with a wolverine that is high on PCP, then I honestly believe that I would choose the latter of these two choices. Run as fast as your two legs can manage to escape the perils of her teaching.

I would rather dig a hole through the earths crust all the way to the core, then crawl my way back up than be in a class with her. I brought holy water to class every day in worry that she would take form of the devil and try and take my soul.

Adriana did not explain concepts well. Questions of her midterms were not even covered in class. She rushes through all of her notes and does not address students questions. She is one of the worst profs I have had in university. The material is not overly difficult but do to her explanation it made the course really difficult. Buy the textbook.

The course itself is either really easy, or really hard, depending on the type of learner you are. I found it super hard- but her lectures were really nice. She always seemed rushed running around the hall, but took time to define concepts and give a lot of helpful examples. For quizes do Jing's worksheets if you want to do well, not the text HW.

I had heard STAT 252 was difficult from other business students, and Adriana did not make it any easier. She was rushed, and read what she was writing so fast that the material seemed a lot more confusing than it was. She didn't even give us our class average for the second midterm because it obviously was a fail. I recommend reading the textbook.

Adriana is great for this course. Notes have everything you need to know for the exams, sometimes need to look in the textbook for assignments. I think the exams would have been a lot harder if she had written them, but they were written with other profs, and were a breeze. No surprises on the final. I'd definitely recommend Adriana!

Midterms are tough, but prepare you well for final. Expect to put in effort. She's very helpful and very good at explaining math geometrically instead of just throwing notes out of the textbook at you. Understanding matters more in her class than marks. It pays off. I failed 2 midterms but got an A in the end thanks to her.

She has crystal clear notes and explanations. Tells you what the goal of the technique is before she teaches it to you. Her midterms are definitely not easy, but the final is a breeze. With the multisection grading policy, doing well in Math 101 basically comes down to doing well on the final, so Adriana is great. You do have to work hard, though.

She's a good teacher, she just gets easily frustrated at times when there is too much noise, and then slightly distracted.. but she is a good teacher, and I learned a lot from her. She really knows what she's talking about and has a great personality. I recommend her, especially if it's a smaller class. She is pretty tough in tests though, so study

I had absolutely no motivation to go to class. Sure, I hated the material, but I hated Mech 141 as well, though that professor kept me coming back for more. She was anything but engaging. I don't know if it was the difficulty of the material or laziness, but she had trouble explaining the concepts. Take anyone but Wise.

She is certainly one of the best teachers I have ever had. Always helpful, very caring and very clear and thorough in her explanations. I am quite surprised at the number of bad comments she has received. Perhaps she teaches her 100 level classes differently than her 200 level. Bear in mind: her classes are hard, so study hard.
