I thought this class had some interesting topics. The beginning takes off slow, but once into things it makes more sense. Gives out study guides and the paper was graded pretty easy. IF you have any concerns go to him!! He is a really nice guy and wants to help.

This guy is the worst professor I have ever had. He stares students down in the most unconfortable way. His tests are graded very hard and he is absolutely impossible to follow in his lectures. I hated every moment of this class, and he honestly is the worst professor I have come across. No student evaluations so nobody knows how horrible he is.

Terrible teacher, hard grader! Is very difficult to get in touch with. Very smart man but should not be a teacher. I would not recommend him at all! He doesn't give student evaluations (which is why we must use this site) and his tests are all essays plus 2 papers. Lots of reading, group work absolutley pointless

Absolutely terrible. Let's just say as a Senior I had to withdraw from the class because he killed my grade on a test due to the fact that he disagreed with my opinion. No lie. Maybe he's "nice guy" to some of you, but I failed to see that.

Dr. Kelly is cool as hell. He lets you hand in your papers a couple days late with no penalty and then grades them easy as heck. His tests arent hard and he gives you excellent study guides. I dont know why these people are complaining, I really enjoyed his class and would highly rec. him

I took Kelly for ethics and lets just say I got an A in 101 (philosophy) and a D in his class. Did not understand a word he was saying and when I went for help after the first quiz, which I got a 30 something on, I think I still only knew the explanation of one answer. Note to self do NOT take this professor!!

wow, easy material if you read,CONFUSING man! he rambles and uses big and unneccesary words. if you read and follow his study guides for tests you'll be fine...but whatever you do don't listen to what he says in class and never make eye contact!(it will last for ten minutes i kid you not!)

The worst class I've ever taken here. He is boring, not helpful, the class is useless, but he still takes off points every time you miss one. Nobody pays attention, he is the most boring person alive. Tests are mainly essay based so he can take off a lot of pts if he doesnt like you!

Dr. Kelly is very passionate about his work and that's obvious. If you keep up with reading and use his VERY helpful study guides you will easily get an A with him. The lectures drag a bit, but in general he is a very nice man. He loves class participation!

Intro to philosophy with Dr. Kelly was great. The material centered on giving two sides to current arguments, such as liberty v. equality. Unfortunately, class participation was low. If you do the reading, you will do well. Dr. Kelly is very helpful, knowledgeable, and interesting.
