I really enjoyed this class, it was easy because I studied from the textbook and put time into studying for the class. The labs were clear and very easy to follow. He is a very fair grader and the tests are sooo simple if you just read the chapters. His lectures were understandable and I liked how he incorporated humour into them.

Comment:

He's an okay professor if biology is your thing. I took an intro class and I struggle in biology and I feel like I have no new knowledge. His lectures are very jumpy and confusing. 10 minute rants on something followed by "I won't test you on that." However, he proceeded to test on it. Gives lots of handouts that he doesn't explain.

Asked him when test was, got three different answers. Asked for help on a lab, he gave me a wrong answer on a question. Makes otherwise simple material confusing. Quizzes on lab BEFORE doing the lab. Many students confused about the same things. Doesn't convey directions clearly. Wrote the lab book, lab book is also confusing. Don't bother.

I don't see why a lot of people complaining about Dr. Braganza. He's really nice. If you have a question about the lab, he's always there to help you out. You can always do the lab quiz at home so that you'll get a good grade. I'd say that his tests are somewhat easy depending on if you study. I definitely recommend you taking his class.

Great person, wouldn't recommend taking, but if you dare, go to ALL the labs, do your lab quizzes before lab, make your lab reports really nice, and be ready to study until your eyes bleed. The exams are extremely hard, don't base your study off his lectures, really use the book, and online quizzes and practice tests, otherwise good luck.

He's a great person but a horrible teacher. Bounces back and forth, talks for 20 minutes then says "but I wont test you on that". Changes lab instructions IN lab so that confuses people. Sometimes incoherently rambles all of class and leaves people confused. Do labs/small quizzes to perfection and you can get a C on every exam and pass with a B.

I was only taking this for engineering majors now needing Bio for transfer. If you're like me and have to take multiple science/math classes this class is a breather. No homework, if you come to lecture no real need to study, all quizzes are already in your lab packet (can do them all day one). Memorization class. Plus Mr B was honestly chill

Most difficult class I have taken. He is VERY unclear with everything he wants and expects you to know. READ THE BOOK and look online. You will need outside help. His study guides are useless and do not help on tests at all. You are better off going to a different professor. Very nice, but also never answers your questions directly.

Very unorganized lectures, skips through powerpoints, gives you 10 minute instructions for lab and leaves you on your own, stopped giving quizzes at a certain time so you miss out on easy points. OH, all tests are A-E. TIP: You MUST read AND put an effort to understand or you will FAIL. More than half the class dropped or failed.

If you slack in this course, you will for sure fail. I suggest that if you do take this course, look at the powerpoints he provides PRIOR to the class he is planning to teach it. He works fast on teaching his lessons, as well.

Mr. Braganza expects you to study outside of class. Read before the lecture so once he goes over the material, you can ask him some questions. This class requires you to pay attention and work. It helps to be engaged during lecture.I got an A and it wasn't so easy. Don't expect to pass if you expect little. If you're a slacker,better pick it up.

Prof. Braganza is not very good with teaching. He is very old school, his classes are usually early morning and lectures very boring. His tests are most of the time totally diff. from what he lectures in class. You usually are on your own to study and do labs to pass this class. He doesn't help much.

Dr.Braganza knows his stuff. grades on the curve for tests, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt study hard! his tests are everything and are very difficult if you dont understand the material. he likes to connect everything he talks about so you'll understand why this and that happens during his lectures. attendance is mandatory and TAKE GOOD NOTES!!
