Had him for Quality Control. I find out later he isn't even a QC engineer. He's Material Science! Doesn't use Blackboard but has his own OUTDATED website which is inconvenient. Talks A LOT. Lab reports can be confusing. The few tests are also confusing; final is take home but difficult. It included content that we didn't see in class or on slides.

Writing intensive. Hunt down a Materials Science text book to help with some of the confusing terminology and papers. Minimum 5 pages per paper, 10 assigned throughout semester.

For MET205, expect 1-3 assignments per week. For MET307 expect at least a lab, occasionally a paper too per week. He's genuinely a nice guy, but he's difficult to understand and often goes off subject. His grading criteria and deadlines aren't clear, and he isn't the best to ask questions if your falling behind. "Actually,Probably, Use your logic!"

As everyone else has been saying, does not teach, plays favorites, is generally useless. Should not be a professor. The midterm no one understood what the hell he was asking on the test. Labs were basically pointless busywork. Only prof I know of teaching this so we're stuck with him until someone does something about it.

The professor is very intelligent, but has poor teaching methods and or common sense. I think has Aspergers or he is a high functioning autistic. He doesnot speak english well. But he is good at heart and will help you if you treat him with respect. If you dont, watch out.

This is the worst engineering professor in Farmingdale. We all need to get him fired because this is unacceptable. I go to college to get an education and I am denied one because of Ibrahim. His teaching skills are the worst. Someone should contact the chairman or president and explain the situation.

I really don't understand why this professor even has a job. I am a serious student who really tried to understand MET 205. The professor should NOT be teaching. He is useless, has an attitude and if you read all the comments has been this way for a long time. Its time for the administration to open its eyes and remove this man.

I am majoring in Mech Eng Tech, and this is the worst professor I ever had, he does not teach at all. I fear that due to his lack of teaching, my future career in MET would be negatively affected. We should all petition and tell Elgun to do something about this.
