Dr Malkawi is amazing! He is helpful, kind, willing to help you with whatever you need. If you ask for help he will help you. Best professor I've ever had. I learned so much from him and really admire him!

Comment:

Not a very good teacher. Gives long lectures that have almost no correlation to the tests. He will spend the whole lecture teaching about one simple detail instead of covering the whole chapter. The only way to get a good grade in this class is to read and teach yourself. Oh, and the final test, its a trap; he purposely made the test super hard.

The best thing about his class is the attendance policy. There isn't one. If you do show up though, he will give out extra credit if the class is looking a bit thin. Other than that, because of his accent, it's hard to understand his lectures sometimes. His lectures are very heavy & it's hard to take notes because he discourages computers/phones.

Dr. Malkawi is one of the best professors at NWMSU. He has a passion for his job, and to see his students succeed. If you go to class, pay attention, and do the worksheets he hands out, you will do fine. Organic Chem isn't the easiest subject to learn, but he makes the material understandable. Great teacher

Fantastic teacher! One of the best at NWMSU by far. Really explains things so students understand them, wants to see students do good things with their education. Listen to him and stay on top of what he tells you to do or else you won't get Org Chem.

The challenging part is it's organic chemistry. It's probably going to be hard regardless of the teacher. The positive at NWMSU is Dr. Malkawi is a great teacher and person. He will know your name and notice if you're not in class. He will help you with ANYTHING. The best teacher I've ever had hands down (and I still have to take organic II!).

He is a good teacher. He is very quiet, so classes in the lecture halls suck. He put a Mic on in class and you still couldn't hear him. I got a lot out of the class. He is very friendly and helpful. I got a B and only went 70% of the time.

Wonderful teacher. Very helpful- this is the kinda guy Universities dream to have. He challenges his students, you WILL learn something when you get out- but he is willing to put in the extra time to help you to ensure you do. His door is always open and he always has a smile on his face. Excellent guy- great class.

BEST TEACHER EVER! Very friendly, supportive and willing to help you as much as you need. Great guy very funny and really wants to make a difference in his students lives. The material is tough- but if you work hard and seek help if needed YOULL LOVE THE CLASS! Hes the best teacher I've ever had. He gets an A+++++ in my book!

Well...if you think the Organic Lab is a “camping site”, you are missing the point of doing the lab. How on the earth do you think your professor gets angry if you are efficient? Is this not what your professors want you to be? Your laziness and reluctance to do the hard work do not justify your making false statements about this class.

Be prepared to learn how to camp out in Organic Lab. Great, friendly guy, but wastes time and then gets angry when you try to be more efficient...make friends with your lab mates, you'll be spending about 20 hours per week with them.

Class can drag because he will just take long pauses and then say, "Questions?" You learn a lot though and the tests are as hard as he wants to make them so be sure your class is liked! Very helpful and understanding guy, genuinely friendly. Sometimes disorganized in lab but no big deal.

Friendly and commited professor. Genuinely interested in a student's progress. Don't think the class is an easy class. Needs a lot of work but he genuinely helps. Spend time with him after hours He has great advice. Class is a little confusing sometimes but meet him in his office hours to explain.

This is one of those classes that will hit you in the face if you don't study. He is very helpful and holds study sessions the week of the test but all tests are short answers and sometimes confusing. He is still very leneant and is actually pretty funny. Very nice guy if you're nice to him. Fun!!!!
