Comment:

Took this class 7 hours a day for a month. The lab is hard at first, but you get to like it. Lucido is a nice guy who knows his stuff, but talks quietly, so get a seat up front if you want to listen. Very hard to get an A, but if you know what to study, a B is possible.

Comment:

Lucido was by far the worst intructor i have had so far. His testing was half over his opinion of what the book was incorrect about and half over what was correct in the book, but it was your luck if he told you which was which. Hardest class i've taken so far. If you can find another teacher do it. This class was a waste of hours and money.

Really nice guy and loves his work, but it's true, he's HARD. The tests are pretty long, but that just means there are more you can miss without feeling bad :]. LOTS of work, and you NEED to read the book (and again, and maybe a third time), but the material is interesting at least. And lab is awesome.

He is a really sweet old man, but a very bad teacher.He goes really fast and mumbles ALOT.He expects you to "know wht you know, know what you don't know,& know everything @all times."The tests are brutal and material is from different places.Doesn't tell students what to focus on studying for the test.He just says "know everything" and he means it

Lectures straight from the book but is somehow more confusing. Speeds through complicated subjects or important test info, then spends forever talking about DNA and A,T,C,G that you learned in gen bio. It's almost a better idea to just read the book and not waste your time in class. Takes forever grading multiple choice scantron tests.

This guy runs the gammet on cell courses. Good luck having anyone come out of northwest with this emphasis with this guy at the helm. The WORST teacher I have ever had including k-12. He is awful in every area. I can't believe he teaches, i say screw his tener, HE SUCKS IN EVERY ASPECT

He doesnt teach- just teach yourself. read the book- 3x over! dont expect your test back promptly. expect it 2 weeks after & 1 week before your next test. outside the class hes probably fine, but as a teacher he SUCKS! i think he enjoys giving C's to students, even A students. Be prepared for your GPA to drop.

Comment:

"Know what you know, know what you don't know, know it all, all the time." If you do this, you'll get an A in the class.However, the class requires a tremendous amount of outside reading, studying, and preparation, drastically increasing his workload and difficulty. He professor is quite helpful and nice, but it only offsets some of the difficulty.

I really enjoyed this class. He really holds you accountable for learning the material. Know what you know and know what you don't know. If you try to treat his classes like others, you'll do poorly. As a result of the effort, you'll come out knowing alot.

This class in itself was interesting, but the material is presented poorly. He stutters a lot and the tests seem to be written decades ago. No old tests to study from. Nice enough guy, but expects you to listen to directions that he mumbles and not have any procedural questions.

Scribbles and Mummbles. A lot of material to memorize. His tests seem to require previous knowledge in this field. Not an easy class for an unexperienced person. Lab is a lot of fun but class is almost pointless b/c you just memorize the book anyways, which is hard, long chapters. Good luck!

Very friendly and approachable professor. Had him I don't like his mode of teaching. Little application to the learnt material. U have to study yourself. strict grading but I kinda expected this since he was my Fresh Sem Advisor. He is a very freindly and appraochable proff. I've not seen him upset.

Good teacher and nice guy,but it is very hard to sit through lectures because he mumbles a lot and he's hard to understand. The tests aren't bad if you study and the labs are kinda fun. Unknowns are a lot of work for only 40 points, but he makes it possible to get em right. overall a good class.

Goes on and on about who knows what. Jumps around during lecture and expects you to know what he is talking about. Doesn't give tests back, but all are comprehensive. Allows you to see test in his office, but can't write anything down. Learned nothing!
