You can clearly tell that Professor Ajay loves marketing and he is a great teacher as well. He's very kind and you can easily meet up with him outside class. He cares about his students, he marks well, and he'll make you love marketing. You definitely need to read the textbook though, and make notes. Work hard and you'll do well.

He's very approachable, kind and willing to listen to your ideas and concerns. I've never met a professor who is truly willing to go out of his way to help students. I went to his office hours for course and non-course related topics, and he's helped me each time. The group project is worth a lot, so make sure you find a good group!

Aside from the fact that he provides detailed feedback on assignments (almost always later than should be), there is nothing good to say. He reads and ignores emails even if you need help - absolutely no intent of ever replying or helping a student in need. If you require his assistance - GOOD LUCK!

AMAZING PROFESSOR. Always looking out for his students and is willing to help if you choose to seek it. He usually doesn't teach this course, but he did my semester, which I am very thankful for. Take the imitative to visit him during office hours. He has really great real world experience as well.

Easily to most worthless course of my MBA. The same material was repeated each class, and as hard as I try, I honestly can't think of one useful thing that I can take away. No feedback was given on performance, with no explanation to accompany marks. No point in Schulich offering this course again.

My least favourite marketing elective. Professor is set in his ways and his assignments are poorly formulated and even more poorly graded. His articulation ability is low and he struggles to give feedback. Upon prompted, his comments appear forced and distant. Poor class.

Don't expect Ajay to mark you easily as he does have high expectations for his students. The textbook is used often in the course but don't just memorize the text but try to understand the broader concept and application as that is what he tests. Overall a great professor and as long as you're not arrogant and expect an easy mark you will do well.

Don't take his course! Maybe you will find first class is fun and then you start to feel disappinted because he repeats everything in every lecture. The assignment is super tedipus which spends you a lot of time, but then you get low grade afterwards. Not recommeded!

If you are looking for an inflexible professor with a simple viewpoint on marketing, look no further, take this course with Professor Sirsi. Assignments are tedious and expect to get a low mark, regardless of the quality of your work.

Professor has a very limited view of marketing. Does not accept counter viewpoints and is stuck in the past. He dismisses most modern forms of marketing such as social media as well. Assignments have limited relationship with material taught. Overall very poor experience.

Keeps the subject way too heavy for an intro to marketing course. He pretty much messed up our class since he tested us on his own personal book and not the required textbook. Therefore, we didn't have the answers he wanted for the exams even though they were right out from the text :S Overall, he does not know how to teach an intro class.

Very protective on his impractical marketing theories and allows no room for argument(although he says he is open for discussion). Also, his lectures are not conducive to learning as the mandatory participation makes for a b/s environment with students asking pathetic questions with 2 year old insights, just to get kiss a** participation marks.

A very verbal prof who likes to communicate with his class, good for talkers. Tests were brutal and impossible to prepare for because it is based solely on what he bses in class, buying the textbook is pretty much a waste of money. Really put a dent on my GPA

Textbook was completely useless, the tests are pathetic to study for because it has nothing to do with anything taught on book. Extremely difficult to do well in, requires lots of bsing in class for participation. NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU STILL WANT TO GET A SCHOLARSHIP

Useless textbook since we used nothing in it, and only what he said in class was what people needed. His tests are pretty dumb because you can study and still have no clue what the question is asking. Overall, marketing is too much work, for very little reward
