I would not recommend Dr. Sue for chemistry at Green River. She shows no passion for teaching. She is outdated in her teaching style, doesn't use canvas, and is EXTREMELY slow at getting graded assignments back to you. If you want to learn anything she is teaching, find another teacher to help you.

Make sure you know the concepts and know how to do all the homework problems for the tests. Labs can be confusing but shell help you if you ask. Difficult class but if you do the work youll do fine, she also gives a lot of partial credit. If you have a choice, take an easier professor because this class is very time consuming to understand!

She is a really educated professor and will give you the help of you ask. Her tests are tough but they're not that hard if you do all your homework and read the textbook. If you commit to hard work you'll pass the class easily.

Had her for 162 & 163 and both were tough. Show up to class, because there's daily quizzes. To do well on tests, make sure you understand the concepts and do hw problems in the textbook. Many of the problem solving q's are similar to those. She's a slow grader and doesn't use Canvas, so beware. She's willing to help you, so don't let her scare you.

Terrible teacher, doesnt explain things well and doesnt seem like her job is her priority. Takes so long to grade tests so your grade is a mystery. If you can Im anyway avoid her, do it, Lundquist is a much nicer and helpful teacher

She's my second favorite instructor of all time. Everyone else I've ever had is tied for first. She'll help you, but after making sure you're patronized for asking "too obvious" of a question. Her instructions/lab work is as asinine as her ability to "teach" and hold a class together. The textbook/YouTube are your best friends in her class.

Dr. Sue is a strong independent woman who don't need no man but Ivan Martino. My work ethic went thru the roof taking the entire Gen Chem series with Dr. Sue. I did not do well in 161 but my grades constantly improved throughout the series. Inspiring teacher who tries to show how chemistry relates to daily life. I will always remember Dr. Sue.

Please, if you have a choice, change your schedule to have a different teacher. She is not a bad person but I would not recommend taking her class. She really doesn't show much drive or gumption in her work when she teaches. I was really looking forward to enjoying my last chemistry class at green river, and while it wasn't horrible it was not fun!

with a big sigh is how I feel trying to describe her and her class. People say they learn a lot,not true. Maybe if you read the textbook, but you don't need a teacher to read the textbook. Very irritating because she shows NO PASSION in the subject. It feels like she is justing doing a job, very sad. Disappointed that I had to pay for this.

She doesn't use canvas for grading and she is very poor at grading things on time. It took her 1 month just to grade a lab report, which wasn't handed back till end of course. She has daily quizzes and 2 major quizzes. READ TEXTBOOK for understanding. Her PPT are general, and she doen't explain things well bc she rushes through content. DO HW

Try and read the book ahead of lecture and you will retain a lot more! Find good lab partner and be prepared for labs, they are more complicated and stressful once you are in there. She can be a slow grader. Final exam is an endurance battle. Overall she is pretty caring and you will definitely learn alot

I love Dr. Sue, but not in the way you love an easy A professor. She is honestly the hardest Chemistry professor there is in GRCC, with her exams being harder than the ACS. On the other hand, an 88% to get a 4.0 is extremely kind of her to do. Did I mention she also helped me when I had to leave three weeks before the end of summer quarter? A Gem!

Chemistry is a tough subject, but Dr. Sue is a great teacher. Her lectures help you understand. Tests are tough, but not impossible. She really gets to know her students and is willing to explain things. Don't expect your labs back though. Do the optional hw if you want to pass!

Dr. Sue is an awesome teacher. Her exams are tricky especially when she asks definitions and "what if" questions. Lab reports are really strictly graded . Not too organized about them , though. If you want to learn chemistry , she is the one for you. You need to earn your grade .

Took her for the entire general chemistry series. She is a great professor that teaches her class like the one she taught at UW so expect it to be very challenging. Follow the weekly schedule she hands out and try to do all the problems assigned cuz it really helps in the quizzes and tests. Her office hours can make anything ridiculously clear too
