Alaa provided me with the oddest university experience. He told a student to leave class because the kid was giggling and then moved as if to physically remove him. This happened twice and was comical to watch. However, with that said, I found him to be extremely helpful and a personable guy. A classmate said he suffered from esteem issues.

Not a very good teacher. He makes the questions student ask sound dumb. He's not clear at all. Even if the brainers in the class outsmarted him, it would take him 5 minutes to realize that he's wrong. I tried asking him for help, and he gives one sentence answers. Doesn't elaborate or try to teach it differently.

He often confuses supply and demand curve. Watch out what he draw on overhead. Sometimes it's totally opposite of what Williamson says. Class average is around 60, and nearly half of students got 50s, and half of them got F in the first two midterms. It's enough reason to avoid this guy. Never be an optimist, my grade decreased by 20% from econ020.

Horrid. Does not care for students, and is selective in e-mail respondance. Not responding to a students e-mail is the equivalent of turning your back and walking away when asked a question. Would any prof do that? I don't think so. The man should be fired ASAP.
