He doesn't do much teaching anymore, but in the two courses I took with him, been pretty good about helping students. As mentioned, he does have a tendency to carry on about his "surfer dude" days in Mauritius, and it's hard to get an appointment with him sometimes.

This professor thinks his "stories" add to the class and make them fun, but they waste HUGE ammounts of class time. I come to class not to here old men tell stupid stories. His notes are terribly unorganized and at least I never knew what he was talking about. No teaching skills at all.
