Smartest prof in the department. It's possible to pass his classes if you really work very hard. To get a high mark you need to really go beyond what any other class would expect -- you must put in the effort to comprehend the material fully. Very rewarding.

I also took his course 4 years ago, and apply just about everything in my job as a software engineer. eg: Hate those assignments where you debug Dueck's code and add extra functionality??? Guess what you'll be doing in the real world, and the code wont be as nicely written as Dueck's!!

I took his course 4 years ago. I worked as a software engineer for 2-3 years after. 306 is extremely useful. I hope I had done all the work he assigned. I was lazy and not at a high level at the time. Otherwise i could have benifited much more from him. Dr.Dueck looks tough on students,but he is not
