Oh my goodness. This class is not for those with a heavy semester. There are papers due every single Wednesday, as well as online discussions twice a week. Dr. Hall expects a lot, maybe forgetting we have other classes to take? If you don't need this class.. DON'T take it.

Dr. Hall is a very intelligent person and extremely informative. His course readings were appropriate, and I completely disagree that for a second year class it was too much work. He challenged our intellectual abilities. p.s. that is not true, and you are ignorant for saying that.

Dr. Hall is soooo boring and mostly incapable of being interesting. I hated both classes I took form him even though I got an A in one. I heard from a M.A. student he only got his teaching job at the University because his wife was dean of the sociology/labour studies department! Not sure if that is true.

Dr. Hall is a very, very nice guy who you can easily talk to out of class. However, I wasn't very "educated" by his class. To me, he isn't a very good teacher. I'm not saying nobody should take his classes. However, I'm not about to recommend his to anyone either.

A lot of reading, but with a decent effort a high 80 is easy. I got perfect marks plus bonus on the quick writes and small groups just because I did the readings, and he gave us the questions ahead of time.

nice prof. but very boring! I don't normally fall a sleep in class, but Hall can put anyone to sleep with his slow lectures. Way toooooooo much reading. Hard MC questions, goes off topic allllooootttt!

he is a nice person but does not know how to teach properly....for a second year class...it was way tooo much reading and work.....i wish i had dropped the class! Good luck if you do take it with him.
