He definitely knows all of his stuff but he doesn't take the effort to make sure you get it. You have to be independent and be prepared yourself to get a good grade. His TF's grading method is quite unfair.

I am an Econ major. This is the single worst teacher i have ever had. Shows up late everyday does not know what he is talking about. The homework is pointless. The tests are so ambiguous its ridiculous. If you take this class take idson its so much better. Ma is the single worst professor I have ever had.

Professor Ma is not difficult to understand. He even tries to be funny sometimes. The class is straightforward; you get tested on the chapters from the book and he posts all class notes online. He's not very helpful, so only take if you are independent
