I took him at TRU. Spent too much time covering the first part of the course (which he tough very well but should be relatively easy for most business students). I really liked how he taught, very clear and very organized. The last bit of the course was rushed and taught poorly. The class got crushed on the final as it was on the last chapters.

Terrible. The exams are not made to Finnish. His exams were the biggest issue specially the final exam. AVOID HIM AVOID HIM. BTW he plays classical music that was the only thing I liked about his class lol

Terrible, I avoid at all costs and recommend everyone else to as well. During several exams there were still over half the class writing and he kicked everyone out. Clearly the exams are not made to Finnish. His exams were the biggest issue.Course content is pretty clear and not to complicated. His grading scheam is afull. 0%-50%-100% on a question

I DO NOT recommend this instructor. He is disrespectful, treats his students like children, does not follow through with commitments, is unprepared - never has enough handouts or exams. He told us to use one textbook, but all power points, references and tests were based on a different book that we didn't have access to. Worst instructor ever.

Just took the 220 class of fall '08. Useless, and old articles which waste the time. He can't even finish teaching his own curriculum with doing that. Tests things harder than he teaches. Assigns problems on stuff he hasn't teached. I wouldn't take him as a teacher again. Don't take him for 220, unless you want to learn accounting too.

I think Alex tries really hard. However, I personally didn't like his teaching style. I guess when you are teaching a course that's related to numbers it is extremely difficult to make it interesting so i'm not complaining.

He is disorganized. Always short of enough examination papers (duh!!). His personal skills are sadly lacking. His teaching technique is even worse. You can hardly see the words (far too small) on the powerpoint presentation. Simply awful.
