Honestly the worst professor at Iona. "Know thyself"? I'd rather "kill thyself" than take this class again.

This teacher is awesome. A lot of people have a hard time understanding philosophy and give this guy a bad rap. This man is the reason I chose philosophy as my major.

I am truly shocked this professor is still teaching here. He is so opinionated and has no desire to listen to any of his students opinions. Every single class consisted of him ranting over how much he hates Republicans. It did not even seem like a class because for an hour and 18 minutes all he did was complain. So disappointing.

Nice man, Horrible teacher. We learn nothing about philosophy, yet when we have tests he expects us to know the material. He rambles on for the entire class except for the last minute, then he starts teaching. Drop him if you get the chance!!

Good teacher. Yeah he goes on tangents somedays. Remember, Political ranting is to be expected. But overall, no homework. Just reading and the tests are usually based off the notes. Not too hard to get an A in, just show up, take notes, and do well.

People tend to exaggerate over Delfini a little bit. He does go off on tangents sometimes, but they are a nice break from lecturing. Dont let his personal views annoy you. This was my 2nd semester with him for a reason. Workload is light, tests are based right off the notes/handouts. And he cancels a bunch of classes. Better than other PHL tchrs.

Pretty boring and he does go off on many tangents. The test are pretty easy, I got Bs on all of them and wound up with an A. Participate... even if you do not know the answer, make sure he knows your name.

he is a little out there but the class is easy. he goes over everything in class many times before the test, this really helps you understand the material. i did not read all of his assigned readings because he gave a lot of it but i took really good notes in his class and i did fine, however some things u do have to read.

where do I begin? prof delfini is out of his mind. his lectures are 78 minutes long. about 45 of that is dedicated to telling the class we are dumb and unable to function in this world because we text. and that we are all going to kill ourselves because we text and drive. this class was a waste.

Delfini was a great teacher in my opinion. He is very interested in the subject and is great at explaining the different subject matters of philosophy. Hes a sweet guy and just do the small amount of reading he gives and pay attention to his explanations and you will do fine.

Classroom has been hot/smelly almost every class makes the boringness/incomprehensibility even worse. Work is mediocre, tests havent been horrible but definitely require studying. Alot of times the notes and lectures are unclear. No alien stories so far, and the political stories may be opinions but true or not they are with good intention.

goes of on tangents about republicans and aliens during class and gives notes on blackboard that are put into words just like if he was talking to you ( i kinda hate that) but he's not so bad... he's funny and the tests are not that hard if you study and he allows you to miss 10 classes before you fail

Delfini's class is extremely boring and useless. He's a nice guy but you will sit there and wonder why you showed up to class. He rambles on about his opinion. and if you don't agree with him, he'll sit and argue.

so its a month into the semester and i have not learned one thing about philosophy. he starts to talk about a subject but then goes on to talk about something completely irrelevant. today he spent the first 35 minutes of class complaining to us about george bush and much how he hates republicans. if your smart, dont take him..

Professor Delfini's class can be a boring class but its not all that bad as people say! He is a very laid back guy, however he can go off on tangents from time to time. he gives no hw, gives u the notes but you have to go through them to organize them better, his final is only 50 m.c. I got an A and I didn't have to put forth much effort at all
