Brilliant! He challenges you intellectually and presents various POVS that dominant culture wants to keep in the closet, out of sight. So I guess that is why some people think queer theory is something "skewed" as if such queer elements aren't there in the text but rather put on and in the texts thus distorting them.

Quit your crying guys! College is supposed to challenge you! Doty is as helpful as you let him be. He is extrememly smart and at times has trouble bringing it down to your level, so step it up! It's a lot of work, but if you can make it thru Doty, everything else is easy.
