She is a person that should not be teaching. I am an older student who has been through a lot of instructors, and she was the most brutal I have ever seen to some of the other students. I didn't mind because her type of angry personality doesn't bother me, but a lot of young kids with less patience will DEFINITELY not like her. Stay away from her.

you know, at first i really disliked her. however, when i talked to her about my concerns about my grade, she was very nice about it, which was suprising since she seemed mean. as long as you do your work and have motivation and take time to talk her and you participate in class (which a good student should be doing anyway) you'll be fine

Do not take her.Her tantrums got so bad one time that instead of her coming in one day, an administrator from SJCC came in and had us vent and tell them what was going on and what an average day with her was like. The complaints got to the higher ups and they responded, but they still let her teach

Gets off subject fairly easily, and isn't very descriptive when she assigns work. Also, very tough grader, you don't get any leeway, which is unfair if you haven't had much experience in spanish to begin with. Overall: a decent teacher.

Senora Esparza, so much to say so little room. She is defintely a stickler. If you are wanting to learn how to speak spanish this might not be the class for you. It is a lot more reading and writing spanish. You will have to speak some,but mainly writing. Be warned of her personality-she might bite!

Students who don't like her are just lookig for a easy ride. She knows her stuff and is a excellent teacher. You won't be deprived of nothing in her class, she just doesn't take any crap. I regret that she will not be teaching a Spanish B class...

I didn't learn anything!!! She just assigns book work and an endless number of translation worksheets to review in class. She likes to make students feel dumb. She doesn't like answering questions, nor is she clear when she does. Stay away from Esparza!
