Very great professor and worth taking DSA under this professor. He will let you know all the basics from the scratch with the derivations which is very much useful. Be conscious from the start of the class and make sure to attend every class and yes you will enjoy this class under this professor.

This prof likes to torture students. This class is very important for future CS students, but this prof just doesn't care. He likes to just make us write nonsense on our papers of what he writes on the board! Forget about the curve because there are none! Good luck to all because you will regret taking his class.

I found myself struggling throughout the entire course. Only a small portion of what he taught was on the exams and from what I studied from the past exams and the lecture was not on the test. I never know what to study without feeling like I wasted my time, and the things I do are not on the test. I can never keep up with any of his lectures.

He is the best professor for CS majors. I took CS435 and majority of stuff that he taught in class was asked during google interview that i attended. I learned a lot from him. This class is very useful for CS majors but be ready to read and make sure you do his practice exams as they are very helpful. The mini projects are also useful.

The material was fairly difficult (BS in CS), the class average was 58%. Prompt e-mail response and excellent office hours. Single homework, a programming project (2 parts) assigned on the first day due 3 months later. Optional problem sets and old exams (w/answers) given to study from, open book exams. Real world relevant material.

Difficult, but not impossible. He gives you A LOT of different materials to study from, like old exams and ungraded problem sets with answers. Many exam questions are semi-recycled from those. Lectures clarified a lot of information and made difficult material possible. Exams are open textbook, but if you rely only on the textbook you're screwed.

Great course. You need to attend class to do well. Practice with class work, and study homeworks and you will do ok in the exams. Plan early for mini projects. Go to his office if you have questions; he is always there. He is the only professor who stays through 9:05 pm in a night class.

Hands down, one of the best Professors at NJIT. I took him for Web Search, and I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting the course actually was. The focus was on space optimized AND time optimized algorithms. 3 Programming Projects, 2 exams. I'm taking him again next semester for CS610, the graduate version of Data Structures.

One of the best CS teachers I've ever had. Breaks down everything into simple steps and provides a lot of supporting material. Do the projects and review past exams, and you'll get an easy A.

Great Prof. Teaches clearly and goes over all material thoroughly. The book is great. Make sure to study all the old exams and do the problem sets. Also do the proramming assignments early. Toughish class, but work hard and pay attention to him and you basically got an A

Nice guy, does explain the material as well as he can. However the material IS quite difficult and hard to swallow. Can bring the textbook to most exams. Review material is even worse than the exams themselves. Use past exams to study, they will help a LOT. Make sure you know how to write algorithms, since you WILL need to do so extensively.

Fantastic Prof, possibly best CS prof at NJIT (except for Kapleau maybe). Extremely helpful, answers every question thoroughly and explains things clearly and concisely. Accent very slight, very easy to communicate with. Material is very thick and tests are very challenging, but he's a lenient grader. Great prof for this challenging course!

This class is unbelievbly difficult and boring. However, this guy is up to the task. He's about as good as it going to get. His website helps with a great deal of course materials. Also, I think he is a very lenient grader, because i got a B+ after worrying about getting a D.

Best cs prof. He posts problems and course material online which are very helpful for the exams. The course was difficult but he made it a lot easier. I wish he taught more undergrad courses.
