This professor does not have any leeway when it comes to grading. Coding is done differently by everyone. Well in his class if it isint 1000% the same as his way of coding you WILL get a zero on the project. He also is terrible at responding to email and will last minute grade so youre stuck with a zero and one day to fix it. Terrible professor.

Comment:

One of the best professors in the school. Knows his stuff and offers lots of help. Answers questions in class, holds regular office hours, and often drops lowest grades. With that said- his classes will challenge you!

The worst professor I have ever had. He gets off topic extremely easily and you'll find after zoning out during his boring lectures that you haven't missed much because he was talking about something completely irrelevant. If you can avoid taking a class with him good for you. He is a very difficult grader and doesn't teach well at all.

very hard grader, gives boring lectures. i would not recommend taking any of his classes, I had to take two, and i see other professors giving there students average homework and projects. but he gives homework from hell. he would not give 100% on a homework no matter what.

Professor Benoit's lectures make no sense even to someone who has taken a C programming class before. He posts tests with no notification or mention he's posting them so you will miss them if you don't check every uLearn tab every day. His homework assignments are unclear and his grammar is nearly unintelligible. Do not take his class. Drop it.

I can't believe all these bad comments about Benoit. He's not as bad as they make him. He is smart and knows his stuff, but a little hard. you have to email him homework assignments. He is very helpful, just go to his office. He makes time for his students.

Do NOT take any of his classes if you want to pass a class, or if you want to actually learn what he is supposed to be teaching. By signing up for his class, you are basically agreeing to learn on your own from a book without any help from an incompetent man. He should be fired from the school for being the worst teacher ever(FILE A COMPLAINT!!)

Be prepared to hear "Oh, gee by the way" over and over. He is probably the only professor you can fall asleep in their class and wake up and he will be still lecturing about the same thing.
