Piran will give you extra credit for attendance and participation in class. He's very interactive with the students and has some great demonstrations to teach physics principles. Ive had MANY professors at SFA and hes the nicest and most amazing professor there is. Im not a science person at all and he for sure made the class so enjoyable. Each day you show up is like 1 bonus point. Plus he gives soooo many opportunities for extra points during class. It is extremely hard to fail this class. Id take him again if I could

Professor Piran is the best Physics teacher I ever had. He explains everything very thoroughly and give you everything you need to make an in class. He does not give homework and uses practically NO MATH at all. He really wants every student to succeed. If you need to take Physics 101 take this guy! Also, he is hilarious "Raw-it They-r"

Awesome class! I am planning to take for PHY 102! You do not use the book at all!! Class is a lecture based class, he will have exams over exactly what was said in class. Really need to attend! Class was entertaining and interesting, gives a lot of extra credit opportunities

AMAZING professor! I took Physics 101 for my major and I wasn't looking forward to taking this class. After attending his class it was my favorite class every week and I looked forward to it. Piran is so fun he gets his class engaged in his lectures and makes physics fun! If you're struggling he is willing to help you succeed! Two thumbs up!!!

Piran is funny and engaging. I don't go through one class period without laughing. He makes the subject fun the learn and he clearly has fun teaching it. Also the way he organizes the lecture notes makes learning the material easier than expected. But you have to study to get a good grade. You don't study, you don't pass.

GREATEST PHYSICS PROFESSOR EVER! I hated high school physics but flew through his class! He gives plenty of bonus points and is so much fun in class. Its easy to take notes and then thats all you need to study to get an A on the tests.

I loved this class until I got my final grade. Don't listen to his bull about "as long as you show up and do the assignments I'll move you to the next letter grade (if you're close enough)." Had an A all semester, came to EVERY class and then some how ended up with a B in the end. Asked him for clarification and he couldn't explain.

he is hard to understand and his test are kind of hard. he gives you a review but its only 20 questions and his exams are much longer, all multiple choice though. he is VERY funny and lively however it is hard to take good notes in his class and there is no SI.

Very good professor! Funny and makes physics interesting. If you need to take physics, take him. Go to class and do outside assignments. If you do that, he'll give you that curve to go up a letter grade.
