Alice is a character. She is a pretty solid choice for a professor, she grades pretty tough. She grades by specific details of writing and I tend to disagree with how she grades, her personal writing style does not fit every writers style. But still a pretty chill professor

Alice was by far the best professor I've ever had. She's caring, a little sarcastic, but gives great feedback on your work. However, this class is more for perfecting skills you already have rather than developing ones that you already have. I recommend Alice for any creative writing class, she is by far the best teacher you could have for it!

I was in love with the writing for this class, because we wrote SO MUCH over a span of one semester. If you are not a fan of writing (and specifically sharing your writing), this is not the class for you. The only issue I have is that occasionally her feedback isn't as constructive as it is mildly condescending. But overall, she's very chill.

One of the only classes in my college career where I looked forward to attending every class session. She is an amazing writer, poet and even better person. Even if you were a person who used to love to write and hadnt picked up a pen in years, she will help those juices flow again through you.

Professor Alice Cone is one of the greatest minds at Kent State University. If you're an English or Writing major and you want to learn, take her. You will learn a lot as will the quality of your writing improve over the course of the semester. She assigns a fair amount of work and also very willing to help you along the way. Very nice lady!
