This course also has esl tutorial, the tutor is her and is very helpful. You will get good mark on essay and test once she saw you put effort in it. A very nice and friendly prof overall.

Professor Marquez is nice and clear with her explanations. However, she is not a big fan of technology and prefer to lecture for 1.5hr straight. It is difficult to follow at first, but do make notes as her lectures are often very helpful. Interesting course but require lots of readings. Can't stress how important it is to do your readings weekly.

She does not use any technology other than for playing movies in class. You will get lost if you don't listen to every word she says. Class can be really boring sometimes. But she is really helpful in person and very specific on all her assignments. also exams are really easy

One of the best profs I have had so far!If you enjoy learning about immigration and the struggles along with it, this course is for you! You don't have to do the readings to do well, just attend lectures and take good notes. The midterm and exam were so easy, if you went to lecture! Easy GenEd course

Terrible, doesn't know how to use technology, interest level after the mid-term dropped dramatically in this course, felt like sleeping in rather then listening to her. Very mono-tone and not very enthusiastic about her material.

really boring, especially for an 8:30 class. i fell asleep twice in class, and then voewd to never go to that lecture again. which is no problem because it just repeats the same basic concepts from tutorial over and over again. you can get by with only going to tutorial and showing up for tests

her lecturese were very boring, i was not able to even take notes because i could not understand what she said. for a 7 am class she made me fall asleep everytime. he voice is very monotone-ish andd makews you really bored. the material was good but her ppresentation was unclear.

Ok it's bad enough that this class is soooo boring but she's all over the place...so hard to keep up with makes note taking very difficult. She had also made offensive racial slurs...she needs to be careful in what she says!

She's so monotone, isn't organized and can't teach the material- come on people the material is boring enough she makes this class a grave session!! thank god for TA's otherwise half the people would've been even more lost, never again!!
