Homework is just problems from the book due every week and a half. Lectures are great he goes at a comfortable pace and tells some funny jokes here and there. on the test, he gives a lot of partial credit which really helps outs. if you show up to most of the classes and do the homework you'll do fine in his class. I highly recommend taking him.

Professor Freidenreich explains concepts in a very understandable way. I like the way he explained exponents and the exponential model in statistics. Good teacher! Also he teaches you cool ways of finding answer in calculator!

A solid choice. If you're afraid of math classes, I'd say take his class as he teaches at a nice pace. Most of your grade does come from tests but honestly, they aren't that difficult if you study. Also, there might be some funny laughs here and there during his classes

Professor Freidenreich really helped me succeed in this class. When I was struggling, he noticed and gave me really helpful tips. Go to his office hours and always ask for help, he will give it to you. He really wants you to do well. Your cumulative final replaces your lowest test score and he drops your two lowest homeworks.

I took him this spring semester for Math 142 elementary statistics and I really enjoyed his class. He doesn't go through the material too fast so it's easy to understand the concepts. He also lets you use a notecard on the tests. He's overall a super funny and cool professor.

He is probably the WORST professor I've ever had at DVC! He grades heavily on tests! If you don't pass the tests, then you will FAIL the class. He also doesn't give good feedback or advice and doesn't even know what he's doing half of the time. He even told me to drop his class after failing the first two exams. I ADVISE YOU NOT TO TAKE HIM.

To start, his tests are way too hard than what you expect. He takes off points for everything, even if you forgot to put a "". He will take off points. there are 6 test in total and in most of his test, theres about 8 questions so if you miss 2 you already in a low b. I would not recommend him at all if you are not a really good at test taking.

Tests are worth 66% of your grade. He doesn't elaborate very well and rarely asks if we have questions about the homework. I understood lectures and was able to do my homework but the tests always seemed very different which would have led to me failing the class.

If you don't want to waste your time, don't attend this class. He is incredibly slow in lectures. He's airheaded and doesn't know what he's teaching half the time. There have been numerous times he has legit told the class he doesn't know what he is teaching. I wouldn't recommend him if you want to actually use your brain in class.

He responds to emails, is personable in office hours, alleviates the occasional classroom boredom w/ funny stories, and he is NOT confrontational. Also, he is usually super clear. When he isn't, just ask because he's happy to reiterate. You'll wish that his teaching style was required by law. Great professor.

Takes his time going over the material to ensure the whole class understands the material. 5 test and 2-3 weekly homework assignments. Hands out worksheet packet for almost every section. Don't follow the textbook 100% but his tests cover the worksheet packet.

Prof. F is a great teacher! He likes when students participate. He can be funny, has 8-9 problems on his tests where you show ALL your work, and assigns usually 3 HW assignments for the whole entire week due the following Monday. His tests/homework are based off handouts& doesn't really follow the book. This has been my fav class this semester.

He's hella boring. Low energy and takes way too long on one problem to stay interested. I'm an engineering major, and this is the first time ever that I've dreaded learning anything involving numbers. Sorry, not sorry.

Do not take his classes. I asked him what the average grade his students get in his classes and he said C- so I don't know why his average grade here is an A. He gets frustrated if you ask questions and is more concerned about finishing the book rather than being concerned if the class is understanding the material.

If I am taking time to write this it means that he is a really really good teacher. I got a C in college algebra, and I have high A in stats . He goes over problems 3 times identical to the tests! He goes very very slow, unlike usual math teachers who speed through the lectures. All the tests were so easy!
