she was amazing for sure! no tests, no quizzes, she loves to hear what you have to say. Loving, caring, very feminist lol. She is sooo awesome. I wish I could have her for enc 1102. She cancels class sometimes, but honestly, I liked going to her class. Great style too lol. she's not strich with papers either. lots of freedom with writing :)

Alison is the best teacher in the entire world! No joke i wish i could have taken her for Enc 1101. She is the sweetest, nicest, most caring person ever. Always willing to help. Easy class, easy A, easy attendance since class is cancelled alot. Very feminist but trust me... TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

loved her!!! get her if you can! easy class, hardly any assignments, but still learned alot and had fun... spent almost 3 weeks of the semester watching movies, and she often missed class. grades papers great. only 4 cores and a presentation/discussion.

Alison is awesome. If you have the opportunity to take her, DO IT! Her classes are always painless and usually even fun because there's a lot of discussion and she tells really funny stories. She's really cool, laid back, and understanding. Definitely the coolest and nicest professor I've had at UCF.

Alison Smith is an amazing instructor. She is obviously very experienced as a writer & gives a lot of helpful feedback. Follow all instructions on her easy writing assigments, including paper length, & you'll do just fine. Make sure you start working on your Core IV as soon as it is assigned because it requires some time. However, it's not hard!

Easy course w/a lot of group work/discussion. Smith missed several days of class, so we didn't have any lecture on those days. You might get stuck with group members who don't work much because they took this class for an easy A. I got ZERO marks for correction or suggestion on all my papers; I don't think I advanced my writing skills at all.

I took Alison for english 1 and 2... she is a great teacher, and made english really simple. Loves group work,lots of interesting class dicussion,and is always willing to help you with papers. Deffinately recommend taking her class.
