Comment:
Excellent teacher and very interesting perspectives on Modern Africa. I was afraid that it would be really biased and one-sided but I definitely learned more than expected in this class. Allan is also very attentive to your needs and really cares for you to succeed in his class. Definitely choose him, though he may be intimidating at first :)

Great professor, tries very hard to make sure everyone passes his class. very laid back and very willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone understood the concepts he was explaining. I'd take one of his classes again in a heartbeat...if I wasn't graduating :o)

Amazing professor. He's made me regret majoring in anything but anthropology. He is intelligent, charismatic, and a wonderful lecturer. Lectures are well organized and filled not only with important material but also personal anedotes from his experiences as a field researcher. Helpful during office hours and always cheery.

Comparative Cultures in the summer. Great prof! Explains things so clearly and really gives his students a chance to engage and learn. He answers all questions, which can be a little dragged on, but overall, a great teacher!!
