The absolutely the worst professor I have ever had. He's incredibly rude, refuses to help students when they're lost, and is very confusing on assignments and projects. When asking for help on a project once, he told me to "stop emailing him because he had nothing further to say."

I'm typing this as I'm sitting in his class. He just talks about random stuff and gets side-tracked, and as a result, we have to stay the full 2 hours and 40 minutes. Avoid him

Not very helpful. Makes you feel incompetent if you ask a question. The class is supposed to be geared towards technology and instead time is wasted in class by having tech support come help him. But the work isn't that difficult. The quizzes for the chapter readings are poorly worded and hard to understand what he's asking for.

Great course, but this professor is confusing with criteria and quite rude. He does things his own unusual way and gets irritated if multiple students ask him a lot of questions. Following every single part of his directions is a must; he won't except otherwise. If you ask for help, his response is unclear and not very helpful at all.

The class isn't hard, but this professor is INCREDIBLY RUDE. I am writing this review at MIDTERM and I can already say without a doubt that I would never take a class with him again. I have never had a professor who was more arrogant and uncaring towards his student's feelings. I have felt insulted multiple times by him.

The class is very easy, but he can be extremely RUDE! It's supposed to be a hybrid, but it's not. Overall the class is an easy A he just isn't the most friendly professor.

He seemed enthusiastic about the content, but went about teaching the wrong way. He came across very rude at times. The final is much harder than anything we have done the entire year. He grades fairly easy on everything else. The class was supposed to be a hybrid, but he still made every class mandatory. We didn't do much online at all.

The class isn't hard, it is just a lot of reading and then a discussion the entire class period. He gets really upset and yells when you are asking a classmate a question and doesn't really teach anything. Id say avoid the class if you can..

Dr. Starkey is very nice and passionate. I'm not big on hybrid classes so I've sort of felt like I'm teaching myself at times and not really learning anything during lectures like in my other classes. He puts an interesting twist on this class, it just wasn't what I had expected

Mr. Starkey knows his stuff and keads by example. While he is an old school teacher, he teaches brilliantly by example--commanding students' attention in the classroom. I learned so many assessment techniques from him; his instructions and grading are crystal clear. A great teaching mentor by encouraging future teachers to go beyond expections.

One day a week will be an online class day. Starkey knows his stuff, and you can tell. Loves his job, for sure. He's very clear about the information, and explains concepts well. Tests are usually open book, except for the final. So don't get behind on the reading. Come to class and it's an easy A.

He is an intelligent teacher that really knows his stuff. The class is based on discussion, the tests are easy and his interests are based on students learning about the teaching profession. The textbook is a light read and very relevant. One of the more valuable classes i've taken

Overall, he is a nice teacher. The tests are complicated. He only offers a mid-term and final exam. There are some small assignments. He is a stickler about attendance. So, dont come to class late. If you read the long and boring chapters, Im pretty sure you can pass the class. However, I would not recommend him if you want to pass the class.

Prof. Starkey was willing to help but did not like people annoying him. Knew a lot of material. Was very smart, but not the best teacher. The midterm and final were not fair. Though they were all open book, you had little time to answer the questions, which were NEVER discussed in class. Though I did well in the class,I would not recommend him.

He has good intentions, but is too Old School. He struggles with blackboard and gives directions that aren't always clear. He is firm and strict, but being a male, I'm pretty used to it.

He was one of the best teachers I have ever had. If your actually in school to learn(which you should be) then there is no problem. If your mature, then there is no problems. Just go to class, do the assignments and be respectful. He can tell if your going to be a good teacher or not. Just pay attention! Its not that hard.

The class was much better once it became a hybrid (half online) basically you just do readings and come prepared to discuss them. (also do two long papers and community service hours) Fairly easy class as long as you do the work.
