Beaty is a sweet lady and is willing to help students but her class is tough. Her lectures arent really helpful because she constantly goes off topic. Her tests are hard and nothing like the practice almost as if she is trying to trick you. Honestly wouldnt take again but shes willing to tutor during office hours and Fridays

you use Pearson math lab online, which isn't bad. she gives little homework but its easy and will keep your grade up because you can make a 100 on the homework. her test are easy if you study. rambles alot though and will not stay on track. and im not talking about just a little bit.

THIS IS THE WORST TEACHER AT MIDLANDS TECH. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS, PERIOD. Besides being one of the rudest teachers I've ever had, she's terrible at communication, staying organized and focused on the lecture. Will not excuse any absence. Homework is more challenging than the tests but her grading will make you fail for the simplest mistake.

Comment:

I just recently took her class and it was definitely the hardest math class I've taken. During her lectures she likes to talk a lot about things that aren't relevant to the material. Definitely do the homework in mystatlab if you're not a great test taker. Tests were difficult because I felt she just didn't teach the material thoroughly enough.

Beaty was very nice, but could not seem to teach about the actual subject and instead just rambled about random stuff, kind of made going to the class pointless. For stat which i took the in summer the practice tests are WORD FOR WORD to the online tests so just study the practice tests and you will do fine. Attendance is taken very seriously.

She is an awful professor. She is so self-centered and lectures about herself the entire time. I took her EDU 230 class and she did not know what she was talking about. She treats you as if you are 4 years old. A little respect from her would be nice.I taught myself the information about schools in community. I do not recommend taking her classes.

I loved Mrs. Beaty! When I had to drop a math class I picked up her statistics class and made an A. You have to pay attention, but its not a difficult course. Make sure you do the practice tests because they look just like the real test. She is very helpful, and explains things in an easy way. I would definitely take her again.

What she teahes in class usually doesn't help with the homework. TAKE HER PRACTICE EXAMS THEY ARE THE SAME AS THE REAL TEST. I mean word for word the same. That is all.

Probably my least favorite professor, very rude and talks about anything but math. I had her fast-track class, so listening to her for 3 hours was awful. All her work is online including tests. She's very picky and gives quizzes every class. She takes attendance very seriously, so don't skip. Do good on tests, you'll easily pass the class.

Shes not the greatest at explaining things well, she will most likely get on your nerves, but she gives GREAT practice test.. which are VERY VERY similar to the real one, so as long as you do all the homework and really know the study guides, easy A+

I have never had to deal with a professor as rude as this woman was to me. I made 99s/100s on all my assignments WITHOUT HER HELP and only went to class because it was mandatory. She singled me out on a daily basis for stupid things that every student was doing (texting, working on homework). Rude and a horrible lecturer. Avoid her.

I had her hybrid class, and she absolutely refuses to go over homework questions saying that "its unnecessary" because other students dont need to go over it. and during class she goes over things that arent even related to the online work. if you can, you should take another teacher.

Terrible teacher! She was a nice lady, and very intrested in the subject, but did a terrible job at actually explaining it...her test were very hard, and she acted like we were in middle school. If you need math explaned to you AVOID this class at all cost!

First of all isn't it our job as students to come to class and study the material? After all we pay for a professors expertice not an easy class. She does her job by comming to class, taking attendance and teaching the full time. She is always willing to offer extra help. Very nice person I have taken 4 classes with her.
