Terrible professor. He is so mean; when students ask questions, he becomes annoyed, and yells at them, in front of the entire class! His lectures consist of all theories, and he provides few examples. I was confused the whole semester, and had to learn all the material on my own time from the internet and the text. He should not be a teacher!!

Classes are fun. The course is easy. Sometimes material went a bit hard but those which are obviously too hard won't come in the exam. So don't worry. Exams are going to be the exact same thing he teaches in the class. Studying the exercises in book might help to better apprehend. I mostly studied my notes and got A+.

I took Math 1021 with him. He has his own way of teaching which I found very helpful now that I am taking the second half. He is very funny and serious. Very kind and as he said in his first lecture you will get the mark you deserve. This is a difficult course and I got an A, I'm happy with that. Great professor, you need to work hard to get the mark you deserve.

He is not clear about his explanation but yet he knows exactly how to explain to you once you approach him....Tests are difficult..over all he is a very respectable professor..and his jokes are really funny.take him if you enjoy a fun time in class and can rely mostly on your own . he has no office hours since he is a retired professor.

He tries to force people to use his "smart" methods and gets lost using it in class. The book was well prepare and review by professors from U of T, Berkeley,Carleton,etc. This course is about understanding Discrete math not his methods. If you are taking math 1190 Fall he is going to be the mister Grinch in your Christmas.Avoid taking his class

Firstly: Do the homework and copy his notes, and the Midterm will be deathly easy (I got 97). However, don't let this fool you because the final is slightly harder, but not too much. Copy his notes, study his methods, do the homework, and above all, ATTEND CLASS. You CANNOT pass just reading the textbook, because he hates the textbook.

Two tests worth 50% each. give a chance for small bonus marks(5). He has his own mathod that you should follow. But I liked that rules, and it was not hard at all. He like T/F questions, and proof for the theories. If you do assignment, and the memorize the proof on the note, you will be fine.

You have to attend his class or you will get zero if you don't use his methods. Test material was on his notes and homework so it was easy. Final exam was really difficult, not based on homework material.

One of a few profs in York that I respect. He's very clear on his lectures. Tests are not that easy, but he marks them fairly, without subjectivity. A GOOD prof.

I learned some great math with him. His Methods are Different than the books Methods! you follow his methods..much easier and much faster too I should say. Attendance is mandatory. If you think you wont go to class and will pass the course (then your not the smartest guy out there). Hint: Do all HW. (QUESTIONS ON ANY OF HIS TESTS ARE FROM his HW)!

Gets lost easily, is confusing, tells us to read the book yet always complains the the author of our book is an imbicile and does not know anything. Makes things much harder than they have to be, I would recommend you avoid him if possible.

The reason I put attendance as mandatory is because he has his own methods of addressing the material, and if you do it the textbook's way you will not get marks for it. He seems very angry at the whole mathematics scene, but he is a character to have in front of you. I would love to have him again, I guarantee you won't fall asleep in his class!

He is okie. Loves his methods of doing things. Make sure u go to class and write down his notes written on the blackboard and you will be fine. Also, do the exercises he assign although he doesn't care. His mid-term is final are easy enough to get good marks.

He sticks to the way he doing things while refuses to even consider different approaches from students. I used his stupid way doing modular arithmetics only to get lost in the final exam and lost 5 marks, tho I got the right answer using my simple tricks. Difficulty is ok, read the book well or attend the class, either one gonna work.
