Beyond boring. If you do not have to take this class: do not! Classes seem to go on forever. However, if you have any interest in the fishing industry it will be of interest to you. Class attendance not necessary to do well. One aspect that was enjoyable is he guest lecturers on Fridays (mostly.)

Easy class, slides have most of the info. The book can be useful, but is not always. The guy is pretty monotone, so if you do have no interest in ecology whatsoever, prepare for the longest hour of your life three days a week. I got an A, mostly due to the fact that I studied very little for the final, because of other more difficult classes.

I find Curry boring and unenthused. I was excited to take the class, but listening to him read from Power Point presentations without elaborating or including interesting examples has driven me mad. Many people are now skipping the class because he provides nothing novel.

Very boring class but the guy knows his stuff. Listen to what he's saying rather than copying down the notes (they're on webct) and read the text and dry and dull as it may be. Overall not that difficult a course.

Personally, I found this course extremely boring and couldn't stand it. There is LOTS of reading to do for his semi sketchy multiple choice exams. I didn't particularly like his marking on essays either. Enthusiastic, loves what he's doing..good prof. A-

He's really nice and absolutly loves teaching this class. He knows exactly what he's talking about and tries to make us laugh all the time. The midterm was a bit sketchy, some of it wasn't exactly covered in class, but it was still ok. Read the text!
