Dr. Austin genuinely loves her job and makes literature enjoyable. She answers emails quickly, and is always willing to offer advice or answer questions when needed. She went above and beyond my expectations as a professor. As long you as you go to class and genuinely want to succeed, she will be more than willing to help!

great prof, best a person could ask for. She answers emails at all hours and is very helpful and informative! She is also very enthusiastic and fun (: she marks a little tougher than most but gives reason for every mark deducted and offers an extension if needed.

Professor Austin is a wonderful professor. I had her for three courses, in the first one I struggled a bit with essay writing, but she helped me out and I improved a lot! She holds very engaging classes and involves the whole class:P I absolutely recommend taking a class with her, but she might not be teaching anymore... :(

I know this is wierd to say but i was not pleased with her over enthusiasm ...I find that she misses the point that way and I like profs with a dark side as well. I found her class went by way too fast and she covered too much material rather than my current prof in 2902. hated her lectures.

Prof Austin, Is one of the best prof.of the entire English department. She is the first professor I have who really had true compassion for her students and loves to teach. I really recommend any class she teaches to take it.

A great prof. Extremely approachable if you're having trouble. Fairly easy marker, and her classes encourage discussion, so you won't be sleeping through boring lectures, as with some other courses. Of course this means you'll spend a fair amount of time listening to the opinions of other students,which can be annoying if they are clueless.
