I really enjoyed allysons lectures! I took fnat 102 and although there was multiple technical difficulties which at times took away from the lectures overall i learned alot. There is alot of reading to be done weekly and at times it can be dry but the summary papers help tie it all together. Overall it was a good course!

Awful teacher would not reccomend her class to anyone. She blames everything and anything for missed lectures and or lost information. She is very rude to students she doesn't like. Makes a lot of excuses and takes months and months to mark things. Not a good teacher and within this 6 credit course I have learned how to sleep in.

I would not recommend. The reading materials are way too difficult for a first-year class. She needs to take accountability for errors in the course instead of blaming it on technology and administration, especially since she has been teaching for 20 years. Not easy to access outside of class and doesn't really reply to emails ever.

Definitely read up on the other ratings, because they all apply. She had great lectures and knows a lot about First Nations Studies. She's a very well-read person and knows her stuff. But personally, in her one-on-one classes, she is lacking. She does have favourites, but they're more than often the students who contribute the most.

Allyson is great at speaking in lectures but when it comes down to the group discussions she gets frustrated easily if there isn't much participation. She sticks with things she knows about not necessarily other factors but she presents them as facts. It was frustrating being in her group class as she didn't want to change things to suite the cla

She is fake and judgemental; Places high value on participation but does not value each person's opinions. Is not respectful of all students. The elder's teach us to respect one another, she shouldn't be in the FNAT program for her attitude is contrary to the teachings of the elders.She makes me very uncomfortable.
