He seems like a nice guy but his lectures move way too quickly and his teaching skills can be poor. His examples are extremely unclear. Prepare to do a ton of studying on your own.

Comment:
He taught this class, the Health Economics, better than what he did for Econ 20A. I did not study hard for Econ 149, but I still got a fair grade. Just study his past exams and memorize a few terms and you will be fine.

Glazer seems like a nice person, but his exams are hard. You must read the book and practice the problems in your notes. Each problem on the test is 10 points each so beware. I understood the material and my explanations on the exams made sense so that's why I got good scores on the midterms/final. Ask for help if needed. You'll need it.

Absolutely one of the worst of the worst I've ever had at UCI. He absolutely has no clue on how to teach and even gets lost on his own lectures. Lectures are extremely confusing and tests are super vague and rarely contain material from textbook. Spends unnecessary amounts of time to interrupt lecture for useless peer discussion WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Comment:
He isn't the best lecturer as he relies on group discussions to pass the time very often. However, he has a clear grading criteria that makes the class easy to pass. I highly recommend looking at his study guides as a crucial source for the exams.

he's tries his best during office hours and is a chill person not everyone does well on the midterms but there's a really nice curve at the end i don't like how tests are only 4 questions and sometimes they're tricky but TAs help a lot and thre's extra credit during discussion

Didn't really learn much from being in lecture. I learned more from attending discussion and reading the book. The tests are pretty fair and you should be able to do okay if you kind of understand the material.

He's kind of a funny little guy, seems to be really excited about the topic, but just not that good at explaining it. If you wanna pass you have to read and go to lecture. On the midterms and finals he'll use questions he gave out in class and take questions from the book. Make sure you do the homework.

He taught a lot of stuff that the textbook doesn't include, so make sure you go to his lecture. And never posts lecture notes.

Lectures don't make sense if you don't read the book because he's not great explaining, so read the book ahead of time. His exams are super easy if you understand the concepts, but his lectures also drop hints on what is going to be on the exam.

I don't understand why everyone gave this professor such a bad rating. I think that many people are bitter because they grossly underestimated the difficulty of this class and failed as result of lack of effort. Although I showed up for lectures, I hardly payed attention but I averaged a 96% just by reading the book.

Just don't take his class. His lecture is not clear. Reading the book is helpful. He talked about something that i could't find from the text book during the last few lectures. He confused students a lot. It makes me feel like i understand the stuff but also not understand.

He was an average professor. You'll pass if you attend his lectures and ask for help during discussions. His midterm was fairly easy, but his final was actually a lot harder.

This professor gave two midterms and a final, they were all confusing and had strange wording. If you have the option not to take him, don't! You will regret it, the book is very helpful so read that to understand the course.

Materials are straightforward. Professor Glazer's often asks the class to discuss or ask each other questions during his lectures to make sure the students get the material. Otherwise, he is ready to answer any questions. Great method to get students to keep up with the course material. Don't have to thoroughly read to get good grade.

Got A. SKIP lecture; it's useless. Do all hw, read book, go to discussion (dep on your TA) and LOOK OVER OLD TESTS! Tests are short answer and grades curved at end. Best option: Take with another prof next qt if possible.
