Interesting classes, pop quizzes at the end. not boring at all if you wanna learn something unlike me. Prof Fartaj is very understanding even though may appear strict at first,as long as you don't do anything stupid, do as he says. you will not fail his course. a great man.

Great guy, he has a sense of humour, he's pretty good at explaining, and he is willing to help if he knows you're someone who works hard in his class. His exams are pretty simple if you do the assignments and pay attention in lecture. He used to say "if you want to copy your friends assignments, then copy. But make an attempt to understand later"

Do the tutorials and read the lectures over. Take pics of in class quizzes if you canfor midterm 2 (helped). The ONLY thing tough in this course is the final. Everything was entropy related. combined questions with entropy.

He puts lots of emphasis on concepts and fundamental theories compared to numerical problem solving. In the exams he allocates at least half of the total exam points on concept questions. But on the positive note, almost all the problems are from the assigned homework,examples from his lectures and text. To get a good grade, know the concepts well.

Sir talk a lot is what we call him; does lots of talking, but little teaching. He is in the wrong profession. Well like they say in industry, if you can't do, teach. Unfortunately, it seems he can't do either.

Here's a teacher who never does any examples by hand, everything is on PowerPoint (just preaching from slides, NO teaching whatsoever). If you like to go to class and learn nothing and then go home and teach yourself, this is the class for you.

cool guy and very clear when trying to explain notes. DON'T get too cocky just because the stuff looks easy...i saw A LOT of people think it was really easy so when the final exam came, the people who studied with me got A to A+ final mark while the others got MUCH lower than expected.

Very nice and smart prof. Teaches in a very simple and clear way. Teaches you material and also how to study effectively. One of the best profs in Engineering!
