Comment:

Best teacher to take for an online Stats class. Potentially hard subject but she's very thorough and takes the time to explain. Long online lectures. Lots of reading for a math class. Gives plenty of examples. Genuinely cares about students. Only complaint is that she takes a long time to email back. No book, just mandatory online access code

I struggle with math...especially Calc. If it weren't for the clear explanations, special tutoring, and extra credit, I may have failed the class. This professor is the real deal. Work hard, attend class, and ask for extra help when you know you need it.

I struggle horribly with any kind of math, and was petrified about calc. She explained things very well. Quiz almost every class, can use homework notes. 3x5 notecard for test. Project was a bit confusing, but made sense afterwards when we covered the last chapter. Do the homework and study, and you'll pass.

Explains concepts well, and is available for help if needed. There's a quiz almost every class, online homework due before every class, and there's five exams which only last 30 minutes and you can use a notecard on them. No cumulative final or midterm. Don't but the book, it is never used.

Amy is overall a fantastic teacher! She has a lot of time available to help students out. She allows a 5X3 note card on every test. The book was never needed, just the online code. Almost all homework is done online, you can resubmit answers until you have full credit! I highly recommend Amy.

Amy is a great professor! I HIGHLY recommend her. She makes calc as painless as possible. There are a million ways to see her for help, she's always available to help a student succeed. I never opened the book, you just need the online code. Overall GREAT teacher.

Worst teacher I've had so far at Waubonsee. Makes learning very confusing. If the majority of the class does poorly on a test or project, she blames us and will the class redo it. Gave the class irrelevant projects with very little detail about what she expected, as well as a very short time to do it. Would NOT recommend her,

Horrible teacher. Her explanations of the projects and lessons are vague. Almost everyone received a failing/poor grade on the project because of her explanations. Although I received a decent grade in the class, I would not recommend her to anyone, at least for this course.

I took this course online, she gave plenty of resources to help learn the material. She allowed us to use 2 sheets of notes on our tests. With a lot of studying and extra credit I got a 101%.

took her class online and I am glad I did Tried taking stats with another teacher at WCC b4, half the class and myself ended up dropping it because that teacher was terrible. Del medico made it easy to understand in the notes and we did the homework online it shows you how to it and we only had two tests the whole semester. Anyways I got an A :)

Breaks down her lessons very efficiently and gives time in class to answer questions on homework. Rewards good tests scores. Pretty consistent and responds to emails sometimes within minutes. No surprises on exams, you just get tested on exactly what you've been working on. She's also friendly. And kind of hawt.

I am taking her for B Calc, and I took her for Elementary Ed. she is not helpful, she is very vague on her lessons, doesnt give many examples, she just gives us homework(thats worth points), tells us to watch a video then expects us to understand. Oh and buy a stapler for this class cause she wont take HW without it being stapled. TERRIBLE!!

This class was a great class to take. Amy is very enthusiastic about her work and her students. She lets you use a notecard on tests, and as long as you pay attention, go to class, do the homework and use the notecard to your advantage, this class will not let you down! Fun class, lots of hands-on learning. Tests are pretty simple too.

Excellent, excellent math teacher...probably the best I have ever had. She spent a LOT of one on one time with me. She grades homework very thoroughly and provides very helpful feedback. Very fair grading, great use of technology in class, all around great teacher that I am taking again.

Amy Del Medico is an extraordinary math professor at Waubonsee. I feel she sets up a class environment in which any reasonably dedicated student can and will learn. She is so passionate about the education process that you'd think she was also in the EDU department. I love her elem. teacher math class. She rocks!
