I. Freaking. Love. Andy. He knows his stuff, and unlike other chem teachers his worksheets are related to his tests and really help the material set in. He really wants you to pass chem and knows how hard it is so please go to his office hours, it'll help. His videos are really short, it's just 30 min out of your day to learn some chem or fail.

Ochem is easily one of the hardest classes at AC. Carr has recently adopted the flipped classroom model to try to help students out. I know I should've gone to his office hours more, but sometimes I felt him getting frustrated with our lack of understanding in class and got intimidated.

Comment:
There are 2 types of ochem teachers. One wants you to simply learn. The other says master it or fail. Carr is the second type. Despite knowing all of the material and working fast, I had pages left blank at the end of the test. You must write as if your life depends upon it. Taking this class should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment.

This man wants you to learn. He doesn't want you to suffer, he too understands that this is probably the hardest class at AC. He will go out of his way to make sure you understand a concept. Of all the professors at AC, he believes in redemption, and that a bad grade can always be redeemed through hard work and practice. Just ask him for help!

He is a really helpful professor, but it takes courage to take his class, you'll fail easily if you don't work hard, I only recommend his class to that seek challenges and had a deep passion toward chemistry.

Dr. Carr is by far is one of my favorite professors at AC. He understands that Chemistry isn't for everyone but what I think bothers most people about him is he makes you know your stuff. Depending on how quickly you learn, if you don't study, you don't pass. He is terribly sweet and very easy to talk to if there is an issue.

The class is hard in general, but it's not so bad if you go to class continuously. Dr. Carr also tries to be as helpful as possible. He doesn't try to weed you out of chemistry, especially if he knows it isn't your major/minor. I actually transferred away from AC and he still helped me with something within 24 hours when I e-mailed him.

Greattt teacher. Really cares and goes out of his way. His class is really hard, but what do you expect, it's ochem. You should take really good notes and write all of the logic down, or get a recorder. He'll help you at all costs. Highly recommended, challenging, fun, good at teaching.

Chalk writing on the board is very hard to comprehend. His tests are pretty hard. You have to know everything. Making flashcards is a good idea for this class. Even though the class is hard, Dr. Carr is very helpful and understanding. :)

You will be teaching yourself the material, because he definatly will not teach but to you. I image he is better in O Chem, but DO NOT take him for General Chem. Tests are horrible. By the end of the semester we went from 60 students to about 20

Not a great teacher. Teaching style is basic but makes his tests really hard. He is an ochem teacher, not a intro chem teacher. I would not recommend him for intro chem, but he will make you learn your stuff.

Definitely one of my favorite profs here at AC. His tests are killlleer sometimes, but only because the way he tests makes sure you know every bit of the material, inside and out. If you are having trouble understanding anything, no matter how insignificant you think it is, he will explain it to you, with no judgment! He's awesome.

Great Prof! But his tests really test your application of the subject and are difficult. You need to know how to apply everything. If you don't understand, go talk to him! He will do everything he can to help you understand.
