Lacks constructive, timely feedback. Assigns a lot of busy work. Really off topic with lectures, kind of rude, and inconsistent with information/assignment expectations.

Most boring class. Long lectures, 2hr 45min. He is confusing and all over the place. Assigns three "cumulative" portfolios with 6 papers each, they make up one big one. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Didn't learn much in this class. Also one group project on a communicable illness that's an hour long. 1/6 grade is attending presentations.

HORRIBLE professor. Comes off as laid back and funny but when tests come around students are left confused. Blabs a lot and could probably "teach" an empty room. He has no structure at all. Avoid if possible but unfortunately for PH majors his course is required. You can ask him the same question on 2 different days and get different answers. Sad.

I took Professor Harver for History of Public Health and Research Methods and Statistics. He doesn't take attendance, but if you go to class and take notes, you will do well on the exams. He is extremely helpful and makes class interesting! If you put in the effort, he will too!

Yes, he is funny, but he takes himself and his classes/grading too seriously. He doesn't care about individual students, and it is almost like it is a hassle for him to be there. His liberal studies class he doesn't teach anything other than slides. Overall he takes himself too seriously and doesn't care about you or your grade

Grades are based on easy writing assignments and in-class debates. No tests except for Final which is a VERY EASY written exam. Boring professor.

PROFESSOR IS VERY HELPFUL, THE CLASS IS BORING, AND HE DOESN'T REALLY TEACH THE MATERIAL THAT IS IN THE BOOK, TESTS ARE MULTIPLE CHOICE AND ESSAY - YOU WILL DO FINE IF YOU KNOW THE DEFINITIONS AND HAVE TAKEN GOOD NOTES IN CLASS

He is not very interested in his classes. He is funny, but the tests are very hard to study for. I do not recommend this teacher unless you want to study 400 terms that you have never seen before, for a 25 question test.

He's a tough teacher. Bonus points dont add up to much. He's not really accessible. Its UNCC, another professor more in love with his career than actually teaching.
