Extremely engaging lectures. A midterm project and a final project. Weekly homework and quizzes every 2 weeks. Quizzes are conceptual only, no numerical on quizzes. A must have prof. Take as many courses with him as you can.

Dr. Rawciz is a professor ahead of his time. At the time, where professors drown students in homework, he believes in learning in action. He takes you on field trips. He tells you stories about the material so you can be engaged in the subject. He purposely answers questions wrong to see if his students are aware and present in class. Professional.

Comment:
Dr Rawicz is one of those rare professors who is completely self aware, and understands all the bull that Students have to face in University. His only goal is to see a strong future of Biomedical Engineering from his students. If you think outside the box and show a genuine interest in the material, you will get a good grade and take a lot from it

Smart man who will help you figure out your career path. Doesn't like grades, and doesn't like students' obsession with grades. Vague outlines for all work done, so you don't know if you're doing anything right or not. Final grades seem arbitrary.

An active member of the SFU engineering department who truly deserves the title of professor. Extremely knowledgeable due to his experience in research, industry, and intimate contact with leaders in the field. He founded SFU biomed engineering and also owned a company. Great guy and extremely passionate but you have to make the effort.

Learned lots from him, and he has lots of connections around the city, so the field trips were very good. But when it comes to grading, never got any grades back until I got my final grade, which I was certain would be an A+, but was an A-. Prior to this semester, I never even got an A-. He just pulled the grade out of no where, with no justificatn

You are so useless Andrew. You should go to BCIT and see how they teach their final projects to students. Show up to the lab JUST FOR ONCE and see how much stress and effort this course costs students before opening your mouth with some stupid question regarding biomedical engineering.
