Though lecture heavy, Schoffield conducted class in an interesting and engaging manner. I loved him so much I will be taking him next semester as well. His tests were difficult as it encompassed so much material, but if you study ahead of time and meet with him during office hours and you will be fine.

Dr. S is the funniest professor I've had at Loyola so far. The class is extremely hard, but he is almost always available for office hours and definitely shows he cares. He also uses real world examples and makes constant jokes and is always hyped up on coffee. He'll definitely keep you awake.

Dr. S is one of a kind. There is no way describe a class with him you just have to be there. He sometimes goes through lecture material quickly but a quick office hour visit clears it all up. He is one of the most interesting professor i have ever met. He truly cares for the students and always has a pep talk readily available. Favorite class!

I took AP Bio the year before so this class isn't that challenging for me but I still love this class, it is lecture heavy but if you take notes on your computer on the premade slides it should be very easy. Very funny and genuinely loves teaching the subject

This class was incredibly hard. I had to work harder than all my friends who weren't in bio, which kind of sucked. But I absolutely hated bio in high school, and loved it here (despite how much work it took). Schoeffield is a phenomenal teacher, take him if you get the chance.

Dr. Schoeffield is the best. He is very enthusiastic about his work and makes the class really interesting. He is very helpful if you ever need extra help or clarification. The class is challenging but Dr. Schoeffield does a great job of explaining everything so that if you put in the effort you will do well.

He is one of my favorite teachers at Loyola. His lectures are amazing; he makes learning the subjects interesting. He gets people involved so you arent just sitting there bored or on your phone because it is a lecture. Although there were more than 50 other students in the class, he made the class interesting so everyone would benefit from it.

took him for 119121 looking forward to more classes with him. You will learn how ball busting "check all that apply. -1 for 1 incorrect, -2 for 2 or more incorrect" is when you find these riddled across his exams like extremophiles on a hydrothermal vent. Great guy! great class, lots of energy, he is very smart.. don't find out the hard way.

Comment:
Always moving around, telling jokes, making students laugh and keeping lectures lively. Quizzes and tests are usually impossible though. Quiz every wednesday with about 6 questions, each super hard. 3 exams and final. Every Organismal class is hard, so definately take schoeffield because he's the man and is more lively than other professors

He is a really nice guy who is always trying to help the students. His tests are harder than most since he is very conceptual, but he is so interesting that it's hard not to pay attention. Great way to start the morning and get woken up.

Dr. Schoeffield is one of the best professors I've ever had. He cares about his students and loves his job. It shows through in all his enthusiasm. You will LEARN alot from his courses. He is demanding, but you will be motivated to do wall the work. Belize was amazing!!!!!
