He was funny and engaging, and seems to really care about the subject and his students. I really appreciated that he was organized and always kept us in the loop with what we would be doing in that specific lecture as well as in the upcoming weeks. The midterm, exam, and assignments were reasonable and helpful.

He is an amazing professor. His lectures are clear and he is funny and entertaining to watch. He goes through example problems in detail before testing it on learning catalytic. I had a different prof for 1000 and I was worried I picked the wrong major. I got him for the second semester and his lectures have made me love chemistry again.

First year chem was a review of high-school for me, so I got an easy A without lectures, though he's probably one of the best chem profs in the department. Easily found around the chem department.

Really nice, fun and helpful person -- seems like he genuinely wants students to succeed and is approachable during office hours. Midterm reflected material presented in lecture and in assignments. Come to class, pay attention, put effort into MasteringChem assignments and you'll be fine. Don't bring your iPhone or Mac anywhere near him, hehe.

Strictly a course centred around the Pearson Publishing firm as the text and problem sets consisted of the bulk of the material learned. Emphasis on Blackboard learning primarily. Lectures ultimately did not give a comprehensive understanding of the fundamantals nor made calculations easier to grasp. Uninspiring and banal.

Very thorough with explanation and uses the text to supplement well. Enthusiastic about the topics and well explained. Not willing to hand you marks but he will explain the concept if the class is having issues with it before major testing.

Had as my very first chemistry prof in first year. Was an awesome prof, very interesting to listen to in lectures and explained everything extremely well. Has a strong dislike of Apple products for some reason.

Chem 100 is the most useless class that an ERS major will ever take, BUT the upside is that he tries to make it fun :)
