He is a hard grader, and its pretty much if you don't do it his way your losing points despite getting the right answer. I personally felt his tests were easy because there assigned from the book. He is a funny guy and seems like he's waiting for the best time to retire. It boils down to if your good at math or not in calc II.

Very good teacher was one of the few teachers i actually learned something from and didn't already know what i was doing. Very tough grader expect to be getting a lot lower grade then predicted.

He's brilliant. I highly recommend taking this class as an independent study. It's incredibly work intensive, so make sure you have a lot of time outside of class. He used 3 text books, 2 of them were graduate level. He's very sarcastic but don't take it personally - he has a unique and amusing sense of humor. By far the best class I took at ESU.

Took him for general statistics. Zarach is very sarcastic and not as bad as these other comments make him seem. There is a homework every week, but if you go to the tutoring sessions its basically done for you there. there will be one or two pop quizzes and another that wont even count. Show up to class, study for the midterm and final.

Attempts to make the class extremely hard purposely and expects you to read book on own. If you do that and attend class there's no reason you won't get a B. Accent is tough at first but easy to understand after a week or 2. Loves to joke around in class and is a funny/guy. Going to his office hours and getting to know him definitively helps.

Personally i found dr zarach hilarious. You have to have to take his comments with a grain of salt. He is, however, an awful teacher.He dives right into problems without teaching the material first and is soo hard to follow.I am an A student and I would have failed this course if not for all the extra credit given which was due to everyone failing

He purposely puts very hard problems on his Final. He expects perfection on homework. He complains if he can't read your writing even though its almost impossible to read his comments on your homework. Not bad as a person but a terrible teacher. You have to goto his office hours to understand the material or just drop the class.

If you can't make his office hours do not bother taking him because it is not easy to keep up with him in class unless math comes very quick for you. He is amusing but also disrespectful if he is not in a good mood so if you can't handle that make sure you avoid him. Ask alot of questions and he will ask if you even graduated from high school.

He strives to have students drop his class. Makes topics overly complicated. I spend 6hrs+ on every hw assignment, and he rarely covers all the material before its due. Plus he writes his own book, so there is no finding outside help. This class caused all my others to suffer, I literally have to skip classes to make his office hours.

WORST MATH TEACHER IN THE WORLD! He is impossible to understand, he teaches stuff that isn't even part of the course, and you never even know where you are in the textbook if you wanted to study. Really picky grading and the only thing that might help you pass are bonus assignments.. don't take class with him EVER! if you have to get a tutor!
